Check Out Julianna Moore’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Julianna Moore

Hi Julianna, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
In 2021, almost a year after losing my childhood dog, I decided that I wanted to start looking for a puppy of my own! I was almost two years out of college and going through a really hard time. I thought what better way to distract myself than keeping busy with a puppy. I I looked for months online and in person at shelters when I finally came across a post for a litter of pups born on a farm just a few hours from me. I told my fiance (who was my boyfriend at the time) that she was the one we had to go and see her.

In February of 2022, when she was 8 weeks old, we went to meet her and instantly fell in love. It was clear she was meant to be my puppy and the rest was history! Maple was perfect- smart, full of personality and SO photogenic! At 10 weeks she was already sitting and shaking on command, making her a natural in front of the camera.

I was flooding my personal social media with photos and videos of her and it was clear Maple needed her own space to shine and thats how her Instagram was born! It quickly gained traction and in a little over 6 months she was at 10,000 followers!n Nearly three years later, Maple has account on all major platforms and her instagram account has gained over 18,000 followers, becoming more than just a creative outlet. Its allowed me to go all in with content creation and launched my career in social media marketing. Maple and I are two peas in a pod and she has truly changed my life in more ways than one.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In the beginning, It was just Maple, my iphone and me! Capturing authentic moments and things we did in our day to day life. As time went on, we were fortunate enough to be able to work with brands and small businesses, creating User Generated Content (UGC) and even doing ads! When I saw the potential of her account, I started to take things more seriously and really started to invest in myself as a creator and the quality of the content i needed to produce to take things to the next level. I bought camera and lighting equipment, started using props and backdrops and really took my time to curate content I was proud of.

This is when I would say some of the struggles began. I started comparing my images and content to other creators online and alot of self doubt would set in that maybe I wasn’t “good enough” or “cut out” to create content. I would sometimes find myself getting frustrated when photos didn’t turn out the way I wanted or frustrated that some days maple did not want to participate. Instead of quitting, I changed my mindset. I quickly learned that there were days Maple wanted to do it and on the days she didn’t, that’s fine! We would move on and try again another day. I learned that everyone is good at certain things and that the photos I take now are going to be different than the ones I take in a year because that’s how i grow as an artist and creator. I learned not to compare myself to others and instead see how I can learn from others and their struggles. I learned that there’s an entire community of dog moms on instagram who are some of the kindest, thoughtful and supportive individuals i’ve ever met and wouldn’t know them without sticking through this journey and all the moments of self doubt.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I work as the Football Education Coordinator for the Detroit Lions. As Football Education Coordinator, I help lead social media initiatives within our Football Education Department. I also help provide educational experiences for children, parents, and coaches, with a focus on character development, player health and safety, coaching knowledge, and most importantly making football fun!

I am passionate about creating content that not only educates but entertains and empowers audiences. Before working with the Lions, I was working as a Creator at Vayner Media creating content for Mr.Peanut, Corn Nuts, Sabra Hummus and more! By leveraging storytelling and photo/video production, I would say im known for my creativity and ability to build connections through digital content.

Im most proud of Maples account and for the years i spent building our personal brand that has opened so many doors for professional opportunities in Marketing. I think what sets me apart from others is everything i’ve done is all self taught. I didn’t major in marketing in College and im super proud of where i have been able to take my career in just a short time.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I would say my adaptability has been most crucial to my success. I have been able to evolve with trends, take on new challenges and career opportunities and then turn these opportunities into meaningful results. This allows me to connect authentically with audiences and make sure the work i deliver is consistent and impactful.

I would say perseverance has been equally important especially when building Maples Instagram. In a highly competitive social media space i stayed committed to creating high quality engaging content even when growth was slow at times.
