Jourdan Pauley is the creative force behind Beautifully Candid Photography, a business she founded 15 years ago shortly after graduating from nursing school. Driven by a passion for capturing authentic moments, Jourdan dedicated herself to learning every aspect of running a successful business. Her hard work paid off, allowing her to leave nursing and pursue her dream career full-time.
Based in Otisville, Michigan, Jourdan is a proud mother of four, and family life is at the heart of everything she does. Whether traveling together, enjoying bonfires on their property, or cherishing the small everyday moments, her family inspires the warmth and authenticity seen in her work. Her youngest child, who has special needs and is nonverbal, has taught her to embrace life one day at a time—a perspective that informs her approach to photography.
Jourdan specializes in couples, families, high school seniors, and weddings, though her versatility extends to sports teams, boudoirs, and creative custom sessions. She loves collaborating with clients to bring their unique vision to life, ensuring every session is tailored, fun, and unforgettable.

I capture real, meaningful moments for families, couples, high school seniors, and weddings. I love telling stories through my photography and creating images that people will cherish for a lifetime.
I specialize in couples, families, high school seniors, and weddings, but I truly love capturing anything that tells a story—from sports teams to boudoir sessions. I’m known for creating authentic, candid moments while making the session fun and tailored to each client’s vision. I collaborate closely with clients to ensure their personality shines through in every image.
What sets me apart is my experience, authenticity, and personal touch. With 15 years in the business, I know how to guide clients through every part of their session, from planning to posing, and I make it a relaxed, enjoyable experience. My life experiences, including raising a child with special needs, have taught me patience, adaptability, and a deep appreciation for capturing the small, meaningful moments that often go unnoticed.
