Check Out Jessica Bielecki’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Bielecki.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hello, I’m Jessica Bielecki, the Certified Wedding Planner & Designer behind J.Britt & Company Events and Designs. My journey began 10 years ago with a very clear vision: to create elegant, unforgettable events while ensuring the planning process felt exciting, not overwhelming, and the client gets to be fully present at their event and enjoy of second while we focus on the planning and execution.

The core of our business has always been simple: You are my number one priority. I started this company to fill the need for a professional who specializes in luxury design, flawless coordination, and stress-free wedding days, all while remaining at an approachable investment.

Today, J.Britt & Company is known across the Detroit metro area and beyond for delivering a modern, elegant aesthetic with custom details. We’ve built our reputation on professionalism, organization, and responsiveness, allowing me and my team to execute our clients’ visions so they can genuinely relax and celebrate their incredible, memorable day.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Our biggest struggles, which ultimately shaped the strong processes we have now, fell into a few key areas:

-Balancing Pinterest dreams with real-world budgets
-The logistical tightrope of event coordination & execution
-Setting Boundaries in a High-Demand Industry.

Every struggle we have encountered has yielded invaluable lessons, compelling us to refine our organizational processes, transparent communication, and dedicated professional team. This strong operational foundation allows us to guarantee a stress-free experience for our clients.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Our Work: Where Strategy Meets Celebration

What We Do & Our Specialization

At J.Britt & Company, we specialize in Full-Service Event Planning and Design. While many see event planning as just “decorating,” we view it as project management with a soul. Because of my 20-year career in the insurance and financial services industry, I specialize in the “heavy lifting” that happens behind the scenes: meticulous budgeting, vendor contract negotiations, and risk mitigation. We don’t just make an event look beautiful; we ensure it runs like a well-oiled machine.

What We Are Known For

In the Michigan event community, we are known for our intentionality and “The Personal Touch.” My clients often tell me that I have a way of making a large-scale event feel as intimate as a family dinner. I’m known for being the “calm in the storm” a trait I’ve honed through years of corporate leadership and teaching as a college professor. When things get hectic, my clients know they have a seasoned professional at the helm who can handle any pivot with grace.

What I Am Most Proud Of

I am most proud of the legacy I am building. Launching this business in January 2018 was a leap of faith, but seeing it thrive is incredibly rewarding.

However, on a personal level, I am proudest when I see my mother’s influence come to life in my work. Taking the hosting skills she taught me as a child and elevating them with a Event Planning Certificate and a Wayne State Business degree feels like a full-circle moment. I’m proud to show my students and my community that you don’t have to choose between being a “business person” and a “creative”—you can be both.

What Sets Us Apart

What truly sets J.Britt & Company apart is our “Triple-Threat” Perspective:

Corporate Precision: 20 years of financial industry experience means your budget is respected and your logistics are airtight.

Academic Excellence: As a professor, I am a natural communicator and educator. I walk my clients through the process so they feel empowered, not overwhelmed.

The “Hostess” Heart: At the end of the day, I am still that girl who helped her mother host family events. I care about the feeling of the room as much as the look of the room. The biggest goal on event day is for my clients to enjoy every moment of their event while we focus on logistics and execution.
