Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Bucholtz.
Hi Jasmine, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started my business a little over two years ago for my father, he, unfortunately, suffers from diabetic skin and has been taking medication for it for as long as I could remember, with me being extremely into self-care & body care I thought I could use my knowledge to try and provide not only my father but my community with honest, clean, affordable luxury skin food; with the pandemic popping up it sure did place my progress on hold but we prevailed through, celebrating our 2nd birthday this past January! 586 Organics offers an array of body care items such as lip care, hand-whipped body butters, lotions, soaps & cleansers, toners, cuticle oils, yoni & facial steam, and much MUCH more. 95% of our products are 100% organic and GMO-free, 70% of our ingredients are farmed/grown/mined right here in the mitten! It is our mission so support other small businesses while supporting our own, offering the community with honest, true, affordable luxury skin food and providing excellent customer service! With me being a team of one beside my significant other to help me push through, times can be very tough but being able to help people struggling with skin issues no matter the issue, 586 Organics has got you covered… literally.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Covid really hit us hard, porch pickups with no contact became an every day, not being able to speak and hug some of my customers was always a sad time as well. Other unfortunate obstacles were inflation and some ingredients not being available to supply to store with.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I hand make everything from stamping my own wrapping paper, to creating some of my own merchandise, making & packaging products while also running my store full time.
I guess I would say I’m most known for speaking my mind and staying true to myself. I’m most proud of coming this far and being able to help so many families along the way. What sets me a side me others is that my brand and company is true, affordable, and filled of luxury skin food for not only you but possibly your babies too! 586 comes from my area code and Organics stands for what we are. We come from the 586 with organic and GMO-free items. I’m a young, black women trying to pave the way for other young black entrepreneurs.
