Today we’d like to introduce you to Janet Nasaudeanu.
Hi Janet, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started photography at 17 years old when my boyfriend at the time (now husband) purchased me my first camera. Small events then led to engagement sessions. I was asked to assist a close friend in my first wedding and since then, I have been drawn to capturing weddings.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My first and biggest obstacle was convincing myself I was trained enough to go down this path. Definitely some hiccups along the way, but I am more confident than ever!
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a Detroit-based wedding photographer who, recently, opened my business up to travel. I am looking to expand into a variety of locations, with Chicago being one of the first. I definitely have that bubbly personality and many of my clients have become lifelong friends. I’d say I am most proud of how I am able to visualize something mentally before I snap the actual shot.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Definitely being a people person. Let your true self out and don’t be afraid to make new friends!
