Check Out Jack Gross’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jack Gross.

Jack Gross

Jack, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I am a 17-year-old aspiring hip-hop artist and producer who is living out of his car, struggling to make ends meet but still do. I’ve always thought I would end up doing music as a career since I was young. I constantly have artists like Jarren Benton, Hopsin, Matt Nye, and Denzel Curry in rotation on my headphones. I’ve been making music for about 5 years now and have just now started releasing.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been as easy as you think. I left a good life with a promising future to chase a lifelong dream. I am an independent artist who is grinding for recognition and success within the music industry and am starting to get a little traction. I’ve learned that your song may not have the most streams, or you might not be the most popular artist, but as long as you have a quality song, things will come around.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a hip-hop artist who goes by the stage name “gross” and have been making music for a little over 4 years now. I just released my first track, “Tattoo,” in July and have released various other singles along the way. I’m currently working on a 5 track EP with producer Birgen Enberg, set to release late this year or early next year.

What do you think about happiness?
I’ve always used music as an outlet for all my emotions and thoughts. My life almost always consists of writing, recording, or producing a song. My raps help me get through the day to see the next. I’ve seen many bad nights where I resort to alcohol and rapping is a way for me to detach from that.
