Today we’d like to introduce you to Gfe Guap
Hi GFE, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
GFE Guap, born on June 22, 1999, in Detroit, Michigan, is a rising trap artist known for his raw, gritty sound and vivid storytelling. Hailing from a city with a rich musical legacy, Guap draws inspiration from both the streets of Detroit and the larger trap scene, blending hard-hitting beats with lyrics that reflect the struggles and hustle of urban life. With a growing fanbase and a relentless work ethic, GFE Guap is quickly making a name for himself in the rap game, ready to leave his mark on the industry with every track he drops.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
A smooth road is the opposite of what this road to success has been, I’ve had many times where the road was smooth but there’s always a bump somewhere when you’re always learning & getting comfortable. Being consistent has always been one of my hardest tasks but I’m getting better. I always used to focus on how people viewed me & not how I viewed me, which now is one of my strengths, I know I’m Great, I just have some ways to go.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a Musical artist that has multiple unique styles/flows I make everything from from Trap, to Afrobeats/Dance.
I’m most known for my Trap flow while my Afro/dance style is mostly overlooked, I feel that it’s just too ahead of its time & I released it too early in my career. But everything happens for a reason, that’s how I feel. I’m most proud of my growth & ability to block out all the noise & focus on myself & my own career, where everyone has an opinion, that’s where I remove myself, I just make the music & focus on my Real life situations. What sets me apart from others is my ability to create music outside of my normal Trap sound.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Risk taking is a big part of life, not just career wise. In life you have to take risk if you want to succeed, that’s the thrill of it, not knowing whether everything will work out or not, then taking that big risk & everything falls into place. If things don’t go well then it’s just a learning experience for me, I don’t take failed risks as hard hits, I move on there’s no time to think too hard about it, it already happened & there’s nothing you can do about it but bounce back.
