Today we’d like to introduce you to Garrett Moreau
Hi Garrett, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I discovered my passion for real estate straight out of high school. My first transaction was helping a wonderful family find their home in Pontiac for $70,000. I had no idea at the time that this would be the first of many successful deals, but that experience taught me one of the most important lessons in real estate: it’s not about the price point—it’s about the people. It’s about how you serve, care for, and communicate with your clients.
From day one, I made it my mission to provide the best customer service possible, rooted in respect, integrity, and a relentless commitment to my clients’ needs. I wanted to make a difference in this industry and become the best agent I could be.Now, eight years later, I’ve had the privilege of helping over 65 families achieve their real estate dreams. I still love what I do every day, and my passion for this career hasn’t wavered. What I’ve learned along the way is that success in real estate requires hard work, determination, and sacrifice. You have to be willing to give up personal time and go the extra mile for your clients. But all of it is worth it when you see the joy on their faces and know you’ve made a positive impact on their lives.Real estate isn’t just a job for me—it’s a calling. And I’m proud to continue serving my clients with the same dedication and care as I did with that very first family.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
When I first started in real estate, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. Like many, I believed it was a world of endless possibilities, flexibility, and quick success. The reality was much different—and far more demanding.Back then, I was juggling college, a distribution job, and real estate all at once. It didn’t take long to realize that doing real estate part-time wasn’t enough to make a meaningful impact. The competition, the commitment, and the clients required full focus, something I couldn’t give while splitting my time three ways. That realization pushed me to make some life-changing decisions: I dropped out of college, quit my distribution job, and jumped into real estate full-time.The transition wasn’t easy. Those early days were marked by long hours, countless rejections, and moments of doubt. Real estate is like climbing a mountain—once you start, you have to keep going. Restarting is even harder, and the climb gets steeper as you progress. What got me through the toughest times was persistence. I learned that success in real estate—or any industry—isn’t about avoiding struggles; it’s about finding ways to power through them. Every challenge became an opportunity to grow, adapt, and refine my skills.Today, I can confidently say that committing to real estate has been one of the most rewarding decisions I’ve ever made. The road wasn’t smooth, but the satisfaction of helping people find their dream homes and achieving personal growth along the way has made it all worthwhile.Real estate taught me that success doesn’t happen overnight. It’s earned through hard work, consistency, and resilience. And while the climb never truly ends, the view gets better with every step forward.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I want readers to know that I am deeply dedicated to my work and always striving to learn and implement new strategies to help my clients succeed in today’s market. My passion for real estate goes beyond transactions—I’m committed to making the industry more positive, caring, and client-focused.
Right now, I’m focused on expanding my team, mentoring others, and sharing my love for the business. I’ve had the privilege of friends and family job-shadow me, showing them not just how to succeed in real estate, but how to do it the right way. I also teach classes for aspiring agents, as well as homebuyers and sellers, to help them navigate the process with confidence and ease.
I feel truly blessed to be in a position where I can make a difference, and I’m excited for the opportunities ahead.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I had a big, outgoing personality and always tried to approach life with positivity and a smile. I found motivation through sports and would often write down inspirational quotes to keep myself focused and driven. I was incredibly athletic and eager to try anything I could get my hands on—whether it was basketball, soccer, BMX, skateboarding, scootering, or snowboarding. Beyond sports, I loved outdoor activities like fishing, dirt biking, working on cars, and snowmobiling. These experiences shaped who I am today, giving me a broad perspective on life and a deep appreciation for how people work together. I grew up in a religious household, attending church every Sunday—a tradition I still cherish. I’m grateful for the opportunities God has provided me, and I bring that same passion and gratitude into everything I do.
