Check Out Muva Mars’ Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Muva Mars.

Hi Muva, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I originally went to Specs Howard School of Media Arts for Broadcast Media Arts because I aspire to be a Radio personality. Going to school for Radio Broadcasting on top of my love for music sort of pushed me in the direction of becoming a professional Disc Jockey. My very first paid event was a birthday party on Black Friday of 2016 & I’ve been going strong ever since.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I can say that it has not been a smooth road. Stepping foot into a male-dominated profession was tough at first, but then I met my Fellow male DJ buddies who didn’t expect anything from me but good Vibes & professionalism, and they boosted me up and passed me paid events when they were overbooked. Which ultimately led me to becoming a Full-Time Disc Jockey. I couldn’t be more happier because I love what I do, and I have such a great support System.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in Lifestyle & Music. Music has always been a talent of mine since I was a child. But there is so much more to me than being a DJ. I am a singer, healthcare worker, and aspiring barber. My skill level and knowledge of music sets me apart from a lot of people because most people think that DeeJaying is just pushing buttons when really YOU are the party. There’s a science to controlling a party that most people don’t get.
