Check Out Demarick “Ledge” Culpepper’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Demarick “Ledge” Culpepper.

Hi Demarick “Ledge”, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I began my YouTube channel as a personality discussing a niche genre known as Battle Rap. I covered it officially since 2016.

I conduct interviews, live stream sessions with supporters and drop vlogs about the current events in the battle rap community.

I’ve pretty much made a name for myself for being honest, non biased and very relatable to the supporters whom i’m nothing without.

I’ve also help run a battle rap league of my own in Michigan named Bar Wars and I’ve also hand a little hand in getting artist to the next level in their careers.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been pretty smooth and enjoyable. I get to choose when I want to put something out so the independence and freedom of content control is nice. My early struggles was just getting artist on who didn’t know my actual knowledge and tenure within the genre.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I run a brand called Top Tier Podcast. Specialized in discussing the popular genre known as Battle Rap.

I consider myself a battle rap media analyst. I think I’m most proud of being recognized by other important hip-hop outlets such as AllHipHop.Com for my work and more importantly the bond it gave me with my supporters and that’s what sets me apart from the pack, I feel. Some may have more views and subscribers but the real vibe as if it’s family is lacking. That’s what I have with Top Tier Podcast.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
My advice would be to never get too down when it’s bad and don’t get too hype when it’s going well. This business has ups and downs but as long as your work ethic is good and you remain consistent then you should be fine. Don’t follow trends, set your own. Be original and engaging.
The one thing I wish I knew before stepping into this would be realizing the importance of first appearance when it comes to presentation. Thumbnails, photos, solid equipment are the foundation of all of this so be ready.
