Check Out Danielle Henderson’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Henderson.

Hi Danielle , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Born and raised in Detroit, I attended Osborn High School. I graduated high school in 1999 , worked, and attended college. I was married by the age of 22. I became an instant mom to my bonus son; and had my son by the age of 23. I did still manage to graduate from college with a degree in Organizational Management. I have always been goal oriented and I understood the importance of not giving up on my career goals because I became a mom and wife. I did ultimately begin to choose jobs that I could work and still be present for my husband and sons. I have serviced children and families for over 16 years. I have worked in many different capacities in non-profits and corporate.
I became a real estate agent in 2022. I was inspired to work in real estate because I wanted to learn more about another form of generational wealth. I also wanted to change of pace from the type of work that I was used to doing in service to others.

My signature line in my emails have always been “In Service”. It was the perfect name for my LLC’s name when I started it. In real estate, I realize the way I work, I am still in service in for my clients in so many ways. I pride myself on being professional, organized, and relatable for my clients. I find so much joy in helping people with their real estate goals. As a realtor, that human services worker always comes out of me. I for the most part have a good connection with the people I serve and with my colleagues. I am grateful I am able be dual careered and juggle working in behavioral health and real estate interchangeably.

I also enjoy opportunities to sing with my band friends and cooking gourmet meals for my friends and family.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The struggle is work life balance. I find myself saying “I’m busy or tired” a lot. I have my husband, friends, family, nieces , and nephews, my parents, etc., that I try to prioritize. It weighs heavy on me that I can’t be and do more.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Real Estate agent and Care Coordinator in Children’s Behavior Health

I pride myself on making everyone feel as if they are a priority.

What matters most to you? Why?
1. My Family especially the one I created because it was imperative to me that I break generational curses- and I did.

,2. My mental and physical health because Optimal health is so important for quality of life.
