Check Out Dani Vignos’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dani Vignos.

Hi Dani , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
University Flower Shop has a long history going back to 1931. In 2015 Dani Vignos, a recent grad, bought the shop to revitalize the business and pursue a kid dream. The business has a tremendous staff of talented managers, designers and shop assistants who have moved the business forward for the last 10 years. Vignos had two business partners join 2 years ago, and together they opened their new location on South Wagner Road.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Tons of work, but mostly smooth! Covid was a hard one! Opening our new spot has been a big transition, but I do feel that the business gets strong every year.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I love University Flower Shop for so many reasons, but I take a lot of pride in the people that we have on our team. There is so much talent, creativity and positivity bursting through our doors every day. Being in such a creative space with such a collaborative team is what sets us apart. We produce beautiful work and have excellent customer service and none of this would be possible without such a diverse group of minds.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was always very social with an entrepreneurial mind! My main interests were always the people around me, but I loved being outside, in nature, in water, on mountains and creating things and ideas that didn’t yet exist.
