Hi Ciera, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Hey everyone, my name is Ciera Robinson (27F). I am a single mom to a beautiful boy and our Husky. I was born and raised in Michigan. I have loved taking photos ever since I was a little girl. My passion has only grown with age. There is no limit to the joy I get from capturing the beauty that surrounds us every day. Although this world can be dark and scary, don’t forget about the love and compassion that still exists, too. I created Pure Moments Photography LLC ten months ago for that exact reason. Life is too short to wait for tomorrow. Have fun, smile, and embrace your moment while I help you capture it!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I am actually a licensed cosmetologist as well. I, unfortunately, got hurt about two years ago and hurt my shoulder so healing physically and mentally has been a challenge. But that was just the kick I needed to start my business. Photography also allows me to have a flexible schedule for my son without pushing my body past its limit. Although I do put myself into some crazy positions while taking photos.
My biggest struggle right now is currently booking in my area. I’m a new name and new face to this industry. However, my main goal is for my clients to not have to give up having their memories captured because of price. I pride myself on being affordable and giving my clients lots of options. This includes different packages, payment plans, and even trade of service.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I love to bring out the natural colors and contrast in my work. I capture everything. Landscapes and scenery, senior pictures, family, maternity, newborn, boudoir, Weddings, family reunions, birthday parties, and so much more. I am most proud of the feelings my clients get once they see the final product. Their satisfaction and joy are what makes the hours of prep, editing, and stress worth it. I’m easygoing and creative. Because of my passion for what I do, I have a much faster turnaround than most in my area. I also have a touch of OCD, so my shots appeal to most people, and I find magic in the details. As a mom, I’ve been given an extra dose of patience and empathy. I honestly think people just need to be accepted and loved, and that is my goal for every person who has a session with me.
