Check Out Breana Baranek’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Breana Baranek.

Hi Breana, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey into the wedding world wasn’t linear—but it was definitely led by heart.

I originally set out to work in healthcare and was in graduate school studying prosthetics when the pandemic hit. Everything moved online, and I felt completely disconnected from the hands-on, human-centered work I had fallen in love with. I was heartbroken. One night, I vented to my husband, and he gently said, “Why don’t you work with me for a little while in video production?” That small invitation opened a brand new door.

While working alongside him, I started learning the ins and outs of storytelling through video—and I was hooked. When his photo booth business started picking back up, I began hosting at weddings and unexpectedly fell in love with it. The people, the energy, the joy—it was magnetic. Being part of someone’s best day ever? It lit something up in me.

From there, I started capturing candid, behind-the-scenes moments with just my iPhone—little in-between scenes that felt real and full of heart. Couples kept telling me, “This is what we didn’t know we needed.” And that’s when I realized: this could be something more.

That’s how Sprouts Content was born—a way to serve couples through storytelling that’s intimate, emotional, and joy-filled. What began as a handful of videos turned into a business rooted in love and legacy. Now, I lead a team of passionate creators across the country, and we’re dedicated to capturing moments that feel true to who each couple really is.

I genuinely love love. I love joy. I love people. And getting to combine all of that in the form of storytelling? I truly couldn’t imagine doing anything else.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Has it been a smooth road? Not exactly—but it’s been such a rewarding one.

When I launched my business in June of last year, there wasn’t really a formal content creation presence in Michigan. I was building something that didn’t fully exist yet. And by mid-July, couples were already reaching out wanting to book me for September—but my calendar was full. I realized really quickly that if I wanted to serve more people and grow this in a sustainable way, I needed to build a team.

Within three months, I hired and started training other creators—and honestly, that’s been one of the most rewarding and challenging parts of the journey so far. Leading a team means constantly learning how to support others while protecting the heart of the work. I’m so grateful for every person who’s stuck by my side, believed in the vision, and now gets to create with me. Together, we get to show up for couples in the most meaningful, joyful way—and that’s what makes it all worth it

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
What I do is create content for couples on their wedding day—but it’s so much more than that. I specialize in capturing the in-between moments, the energy of the day, and the real, unscripted joy that traditional photo and video sometimes miss. I use iPhones and audio tools to document things in real time, delivering candid memories, Instagram-ready clips, and audio keepsakes that let couples feel what their day was really like.

What I’m most proud of is how personal this work has stayed, even as the business has grown. I’ve built a team of creators who care deeply—not just about the aesthetic, but about honoring people’s stories. We’re known for being present, adaptable, and for blending seamlessly into the day while documenting it with intention and warmth.

What sets us apart is that we don’t just show up with a shot list—we show up with heart. We know how to read the room, work alongside photographers and planners, and capture what matters most without being in the way. Our content feels alive. It’s immersive, emotional, and reflects the couple’s unique experience.

This work is about legacy, energy, and love—and I feel so lucky that this is what I get to do.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I think the content creation industry—especially in weddings—is only going to grow over the next 5 to 10 years. Couples are craving more than just polished, posed photos. They want real, immersive documentation that feels like them. And as platforms like Instagram and TikTok continue to shape how we share and remember moments, the demand for real-time, behind-the-scenes content is only going to increase.

And from a business side, I think couples are going to continue investing in personalized experiences. Content creation will move from being a “nice-to-have” to something couples intentionally plan for, right alongside photography and film.

My hope is that the industry continues to evolve with integrity—valuing connection and presence over perfection—and that we keep centering the why behind the work: to tell stories that last beyond just the day itself.
