Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Fleurantin.
Hi Amanda, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey started with three Border Collie brothers, Maize, Maverick, and Goose, who completely changed my life. Each has such a different personality, and sharing those personalities with the world is what truly sparked MMG Border Collies. Like many pet parents, I began sharing little moments of our everyday life online simply because I was obsessed with them and loved documenting our adventures. I never imagined that so many people would connect with our story. Today, MMG Border Collies has grown into a community of more than 27,000 followers on Instagram and thousands more across our other social media platforms.
Over time, our page evolved into much more than cute dog videos. It became a place where I share the realities of life with dogs, the funny moments, the chaos, the emotional moments, and everything in between. I’m also passionate about canine nutrition and wellness, so I love educating others on fresh feeding and helping people feel confident making informed choices for their own pets without judgment.
Outside of social media, I work full time as a pharmacy technician, so creating content happens before work, after work, and on weekends. It’s a labor of love, but seeing the community we’ve built makes every early morning and late night worth it. My biggest dream is to turn this passion into a full-time career so I can continue educating, entertaining, and creating meaningful content while spending even more time with the boys.
At the heart of everything I share is one simple goal: to remind people to slow down, cherish the ordinary moments with their dogs, and create memories they’ll never regret making. If our story encourages even one person to appreciate the time they have with their pet a little more, then it’s all been worth it.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Balancing a full-time job while trying to grow a brand means a lot of early mornings, late nights, and weekends spent creating content instead of relaxing. There are also moments when social media can feel discouraging. Algorithms change, videos don’t always reach the people you hoped they would, and it’s easy to compare yourself to others.
On a more personal level, we’ve also been through some scary health challenges with the boys, including seizures. Those experiences have reminded me that behind every video is a real family and three dogs who mean everything to me. They’ve also reinforced why I create the content I do. I want people to cherish the time they have with their pets because none of us know exactly how much time we’ll get.
Every challenge has taught me something. It’s made me more resilient, more patient, and more grateful for the incredible community that’s supported us along the way.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’ve worked in pharmacy since I was 19 years old, and it’s taught me a lot about responsibility, attention to detail, and genuinely caring for people. While pharmacy has been my career, my passion has always been creating content. Balancing a full-time job while growing MMG Border Collies has taken a lot of dedication, but it’s also shown me what’s possible when you pursue something you truly love outside of your day job.
Through MMG Border Collies, I’ve been able to combine my love for storytelling with my passion for canine nutrition, enrichment, and education. One thing I’m especially proud of is building a community that feels genuine. I don’t believe in making people feel guilty for how they care for their dogs. I’d rather educate, encourage, and share what has worked for us in hopes that it helps someone else.
My goal is to eventually turn this passion into my full-time career, but no matter where that journey takes me, I hope people know our page is a place where they can learn something, laugh a little, and feel like they’re part of our family.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
There are so many people who deserve credit for helping me get to where I am today. My husband has been my biggest supporter from the very beginning. Whether it’s helping me film content, encouraging me when I’m feeling discouraged, or letting me use his phone too (you know, angles), I truly couldn’t do it without him.
I’m also incredibly grateful for my family, friends, and the amazing community that’s grown around MMG Border Collies. Some of the people I met online through our page have become real-life friends, and I’ve even traveled to meet them. It’s amazing how a shared love for dogs can bring people together.
Lastly, I’m thankful for every single person who watches our videos, leaves a kind comment, or shares our content. They’ve helped turn what started as a hobby into something I genuinely believe can become my future, and I’ll never take that support for granted.
At the end of the day, I hope people remember us not just for funny Border Collie videos, but for reminding them to slow down and make memories with the dogs they love.
