Today we’d like to introduce you to Alli Nanney.
Hi Alli, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve loved being creative and trying new things for as long as I can remember. I’ve had a passion for video editing and content creation since my early teens, and I even had a YouTube channel when I was 12!
But I started taking content creation seriously in early 2022, and in April 2023. I saw the cutest disco cowboy outfit on Pinterest and decided to my it for my birthday which started my OBSESSION with sewing and recreating outfits I’ve seen online!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely has not been a smooth road! I’m new to sewing, so I’ve come across many challenges (sewing a zipper in backward, using the wrong sized zipper on a dress so it wasn’t even able to fit on my body… just a lot of obstacles with zippers), and I always seem to give myself the shortest time frames to complete a project, which is always stressful, but definitely makes for an exciting end!
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I create lifestyle content but I specialize in sewing projects that are usually a recreation of an outfit I’ve seen online! I’m most proud of the Sofia Richie Dew Drop Veil that I recreated for my sister’s wedding. I feel like my humor and editing set me apart and are one of my favorite parts of what I do.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I would say I have a unique childhood compared to most! I’m the youngest of nine children, which I loved, but it definitely forced me to be more outspoken and independent. I was a little spunky and a lot loud.
