Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexia Y Anthony Magnotta.
Hi Alexia y Anthony , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Our story started very organically. We’re a multicultural couple a Latina and a gringo and from the beginning, we realized our cultural differences didn’t just make us laugh, they also connected with so many people. We started by sharing real moments about what it’s like to be in a bicultural relationship.
We launched our social media in September 2024, starting only with TikTok. Now, less than a year later, we’re on TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and Patreon and we’ve built a beautiful community of over 200,000 people who truly relate to what we share.
What inspires us most is connecting with other intercultural couples and families. Because stepping into something different is also beautiful you’re not just learning someone’s language, but also their story, their culture, and their traditions. We want to show that real love exists, and maybe it’s not in your country. It’s not about time it’s about connection.
Anthony and I met on a dating app in March 2024 and got married in January 2025. It all happened fast, but when something feels real, you just know. Now we’re building this journey together, full of gratitude.
We also just launched our official website, where you’ll find more about us and our shop with Team Spanglish merch. We want to create clothing that people can truly relate to hats, tees, baby clothes with phrases like:
• “It’s no my pedo”
• “Cuando you can’t find la palabra in one idioma so you full it in con el otro”
• “Sorry, my accent comes with flavor”
Because speaking Spanglish isn’t wrong. Sometimes people make fun of those who don’t speak perfect Spanish or English but we want to normalize it and celebrate it. Being bilingual even in your own way is powerful. We’re proudly a Team Spanglish family, and this community is just getting started.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been a completely smooth road, but it’s definitely been a rewarding one. As a multicultural couple, we had to learn to adapt not just to each other’s language, but to different ways of thinking, communicating, and viewing the world. Funny enough, that’s actually become one of our strengths because we come from different cultures, we don’t take things too personally and we tend to be more patient when listening to one another.
Of course, sometimes it gets tiring having to constantly translate or explain what the other is saying it can be mentally draining. But even that adds flavor to the relationship. We laugh, we mess up, we learn, and it keeps us close.
One of the biggest challenges we faced was in February 2025, when our TikTok account got hacked just as we were starting to gain momentum. We were locked out for nearly three months, and it was incredibly frustrating. But that’s also what pushed us to expand to other platforms. That’s when we launched our YouTube and Instagram accounts, and began building a more diverse digital presence.
Thankfully, we haven’t had many conflicts as a couple. We believe that real love, respect, and patience are stronger than cultural differences. And every time someone tells us they feel seen or that we’ve given them hope, we’re reminded that this journey is worth it.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Team Spanglish
We’re proud to have created a space where people feel truly seen and celebrated. What you see in our videos is our real life no acting, no script. That authenticity is what our community values the most.
We also embrace Spanglish as a genuine way of communicating and connecting. What some see as a mistake, we celebrate with pride and humor even through our clothing line, which features phrases that mix both languages and cultures.
Beyond the numbers, what moves us most are messages like “I feel represented” or “You give us hope.” That’s priceless. We’re more than content creators we’re a family building community.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I believe that risk is a natural and necessary part of life especially when you’re chasing something you truly care about. One of the biggest risks I’ve taken was deciding to share my relationship and personal experiences online. At first, I was terrified. I used to record videos every weekend with my partner, Anthony, just for us. I would document everything we did, but I never dared to post them. I was anxious about what people would think, or if no one would watch. What if we only got 10 views? What if people thought we were ridiculous?
But Anthony believed in me and in us. He was the one who encouraged me to take that leap and start sharing our content. That was the risk: putting our relationship out there without knowing how the world would respond. It was something deeply personal. But we took that risk with trust, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.
Today, we’ve built a community and have several videos with over a million views even one with over 8 million. Something that once felt impossible has become our reality. I’ve learned that sometimes, the biggest rewards come from the scariest risks. You don’t always have to be fearless you just have to believe that something good can happen.
