Hi Camille , thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
I live a very active lifestyle! I started doing 5K races, and when I completed my first one, I couldn’t beleive it!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Camille! I am the founder and owner, of Chrysalis Event Planning LLC. I specialize in all events such as; birthday parties, anniversaries, wedding/baby showers, you name it! I cater every event, according to each clients need and expectations!
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I was very doubtful, and unfortunately, lacked Faith! Yes, I was always the listening ear, encouraging others, but for some reason when it came to my own challenges, I lacked Faith. This was before I had my breakthrough, and found the all living Jesus Christ!
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes! I actually threw away event planning materials, balloon pump, receipt book, briefcase, and even deleted my alignable account, and was ready to cancel my LLC. I went through lot over the past years, and just couldn’t handle being told a promise, only to have something bad follow, hearing a moment of inspiration, but them something else happens. It was like a promise to a child: putting a bowl of ice cream in front of them, and you keep telling them over and over, you can have it, but they never get to enjoy it; because, it’s a bowl of milk now, and doesn’t look very appetizing. And, I had just had it! So, I had to go through a seasoned, of is it worth it? And, I finally hit a rock bottom so hard, I couldn’t handle it anymore! So, I gave up! I told God, alright, I dont doubt you, I still beleive, but if there is a word from the Lord, moment of inspiration, I receive it, but I put it back on the alter. And, for the first time in years, as of 2 days ago, I surrendered! Not give up, but I surrendered!
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes! Whether you see me at the store, active in the community, nothing is rehearsed! Many people have a challenge with individuality; and, who you are when you first meet someone, beleive them! I beleive the worse trait anyone could ever have, is a judgemental spirit! That’s how a lot of people miss out on their blessings!
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Worrying!
