An Inspired Chat with Omar-Tiago Earnest Jr. of Detroit

Omar-Tiago Earnest Jr. shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi Omar-Tiago, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What is a normal day like for you right now?
On Sundays, I love to go to church and brunch. I praise God everyday. I talk to Him everyday before I start my day. As soon as I wake up, I Thank Him for my life and just waking up everyday as well as my family and friends around me.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I clean anything that is dirty. I’ll clean crime scene places, I clean cars, businesses, garages, basements, name it, I clean it! I love my cleaning business because not a lot of people have cleaning businesses and it gives me an advantage. I also love having a business because I’m a real, wonderful, happy, positive, peaceful person outside of business and that’s the same person you’ll get everyday.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
I feel like what breaks bonds between people is either money, business, misunderstandings, traumas, all types of things. You can break a bond with a person over a simple disagreement because you feel one way and the person feels another way. Bonds are restored by people being adults, talk out their problems, finding solutions, de-escalating situations.. But keep in mind, a bond won’t be restored unless both people put in the work to get back how they were or stronger than before.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There’s never been a time where I almost gave up. I’m a competitive person. I will keep trying until the job is done. My parents didn’t raise quitters. When there’s a will, there’s a way and I’ll always find my way. No matter what!

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, and I love that I’m authentic. I don’t fake anything about me or my lifestyle. What people see is what they get. I’m glad that I can go out in public and not have to lie about myself and I’m very comfortable in my own skin.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If immortality were real, what would you build?
I would build generational wealth far as invest in many stocks, trades..
Build restaurants, clothing stores, cleaning businesses, I would expand to every idea that pops inside of my head. If it interests me, I would create the vision and build it.
