An Inspired Chat with Mama Rainbow of Hazel Park

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Mama Rainbow. Check out our conversation below.

Mama, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Taking time off to rest, replenish, & refill my own cup.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hola! I am Mama Rainbow, the multidimensional creatrix of A Meaningful Dream & your psychedelic cosmic guide on this Earthly journey. My mission is to empower others to embrace their authentic selves through guidance, color, magic, teaching, rituals, ancestral healing, intentional fashion, & working with the medicine of Mother Earth. I offer intuitive insight for clients by reading Tarot, Oracle, Crystals, Barbie Divination, Astrology, & Art. I even provide services such as Limpias (Mexican energetic cleansings), & Color Light Therapy. I also craft a variety of handmade items through the A Meaningful Dream Apothecary such as: Luna Essences (moon water), Spell Candles, Intentional Oils, Crystal Bracelets, Custom Intuitive Aztlan Alien Malas, Ojo de Dios, Cleansing Bundles, & more to come.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My community. They are the ones responsible for coming up with the name “Mama Rainbow” which I embrace today.

What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
One of the most life-changing wounds of my life was my tailbone injury in March 2023. It was by far the worst pain (on all levels) I have ever experienced in my entire 30 years of living. Ultimately it was a call from the Universe to heal, release old energies, let go of old ways of being, shift directions, & reflect. I have healed this wound by listening to my body, I gave her the time she needed to recover. In the same breathe, I also dove deep into herbal remedies, my personal healing practices, adjusting my diet, refraining from rigorous activity & slow movement such as yoga, stretching & walking. Sadly, my doctors either made things worse or were not able to provide the care I needed, so I took it into my own hands. Now, my tailbone has become a “tuning fork” for me to pay attention to if anything is “off”. In ways, it “shook me out of my head & put me into my body”.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
My Mexican culture, specifically learning & embodying the practices of my Indigenous ancestors to the best of my abilities.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
That creating, pursuing, & continuing A Meaningful Dream has come with an immense amount of hardships in the past. Everything hasn’t been “rainbows & sunshine” like people think.. There is so much others don’t know about the journey it took to get here today.
