Rising Stars: Meet Cynatt Hussein

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cynatt Hussein.

Hi Cynatt, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I really don’t even know where to begin; I have always had a huge interest in nails. When I was 13, I saved money to buy the products I needed of course being that young I couldn’t do much so eventually I stopping practicing. When I was about 20 during Covid, I took an interest in nails again because I couldn’t go the lockdown with no nails! When I started, I realize how much fun it was, and I found myself staying up late doing sets, waking up early doing sets, really any free time I had, I found myself doing nails it just made me happy. I’ll have to say the best part about being a nail artist is all the fun trends that come up; you can always improve nails and make them different to your liking. So that’s a short intro of my story.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Oh my, definitely was not a smooth rode; there are many nail artist in the area, so I could have easily been a background character. Obviously, I didn’t want that to happen, so I had to think of ways to make me stand out, I mean, I wanted to make every aspect of my business to be different and unique. Once I accomplished that my next challenge was clients, I didn’t have many, and also, I didn’t have any consistent clients. That in itself was a big challenge because it made me think if I was even good enough. I had days where I wanted to quit and just stop, but it was something I loved, and you can’t just walk away from a dream plus quitting is the easy way out. I couldn’t just step away, so I push harder and just did a lot more promoting to reach different groups of audience. Of course, I’m still growing with clientele, but it’s definitely a lot better. So honestly, it wasn’t an easy ride, but great things don’t come easy… you gotta work for it and just never give up.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a nail Tech; I’m most known for my crazy freestyles… I’m most proud of how far I came with my career. The way I carry my business and how I treat my clients is what sets me apart.

What are your plans for the future?
I have many great plans for the future; as of right now, I have expanded my business by adding press-ons to my website. Of course, I will continue to grow as a nail artist, but aside from that, I want to work towards making a nail brand.
