Today we’d like to introduce you to Shawna Mang
Hi Shawna, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
When I first stepped into the world of wedding bouquet preservation, it was born from a personal passion for keeping the beauty of flowers alive long after the special day. It started as a hobby—saving flowers from weddings of family and friends, each one holding its own story of love and celebration. I fell in love with the process, the artistry, and the joy it brought to others. Over time, that passion grew into a mission: to offer couples a way to hold onto the memories of their big day forever. Today, with The Evermore Floweret, I’ve had the privilege of preserving countless bouquets, creating timeless keepsakes that couples cherish for years to come. From experimenting with techniques in my studio to building a thriving business that helps preserve love stories, it’s been an incredible journey. And I’m so grateful to be trusted with preserving these once-in-a-lifetime moments.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road—building a business in wedding bouquet preservation came with its fair share of challenges. In the beginning, I had to figure out everything from scratch—learning preservation techniques, sourcing the right materials, and perfecting my craft through trial and error. There were times when a preservation project didn’t turn out as planned, and I felt the weight of letting someone down. As the business grew, balancing my passion with the demands of running a company—marketing, finances, and tight deadlines—became overwhelming. One of the hardest challenges was gaining the trust of brides to handle something so meaningful to them. But every struggle taught me something valuable, and I’ve worked hard to create a business rooted in care, quality, and trust. Each obstacle has made The Evermore Floweret stronger, and I’m proud of how far it’s come.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
At The Evermore Floweret, I specialize in preserving wedding bouquets and turning them into timeless keepsakes that capture the beauty and emotion of a couple’s special day. My work is all about transforming fragile, fleeting blooms into heirlooms that tell a love story for years to come. From elegant resin designs to custom jewelry dishes and framed displays, I pour my heart into every piece I create.
I’m known for my meticulous attention to detail and the care I take with each bouquet, treating it as if it were my own. Brides trust me because they know I understand how deeply personal and sentimental these flowers are. What sets me apart is the blend of artistry and emotional connection I bring to every project. I don’t just preserve flowers—I preserve memories, ensuring every petal is showcased in a way that honors its story.
What I’m most proud of is the joy my work brings to my clients. Hearing a bride say that seeing her bouquet preserved brought back all the feelings of her wedding day is the ultimate reward. It’s an honor to play a part in keeping love stories alive, and that’s what drives everything I do.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
For anyone just starting out in wedding bouquet preservation, my biggest piece of advice is to embrace the learning curve and stay patient with yourself. This work is a mix of art and science, and it takes time to refine your craft. Invest in quality materials, experiment with different techniques, and don’t be afraid to make mistakes—that’s where the growth happens.
When I was starting out, I wish I knew how important it is to communicate clearly with clients. Set realistic expectations about timelines and outcomes, especially since flowers are unique and can react differently to the preservation process. Trust is everything in this business, and clear, transparent communication builds it.
Also, focus on the value of your work. This isn’t just about preserving flowers—it’s about preserving emotions and memories. When you approach your work with care, passion, and professionalism, it shines through and sets you apart. And lastly, don’t compare your beginning to someone else’s middle. Everyone starts somewhere, so trust your journey and stay focused on growing at your own pace.
