Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Robertson.
Hi Ryan, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
My name is Ryan Robertson, I’m 36, and I’m a Michigan medical Marijuana caregiver and homegrower. I’ve been married to my beautiful wife Christina for 9 years and together for 11. I have 3 daughters with my ex, MacKenzie 13, Madison 12, and Macie 9. Also, 2 stepdaughters that are from Christina’s previous marriages. I love riding my Harley with my buddies and of course working on it, gardening, working on vehicles, and just being around friends and family. I started messing around with growing veggies, apple trees, and other plants as just a hobby and honestly, I never grown anything in my life. It was a way for me to keep my mind occupied as I’m a recovering 17-year pain pill addict, I’m proud to say I’m 7 years sober and haven’t felt better in life! I started growing cannabis 3.5 years ago cuz I figured if I can grow something that people need as medicine, why not. It’s my part in helping people who actually need medical cannabis to function correctly. Although I personally don’t use cannabis, I love growing it and I see myself doing so till I die.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
That road was bad at times. Having to deal with bugs, powdery mildew, or plants just not making the cut. I just learn from my mistakes and try again until I do it right. I always write things down so I have a personal reference of something I did right or something I did wrong. Also, it can be extremely difficult at times since I literally do everything myself, from seed to harvest, but honestly, I like it that way cuz I only have one person to blame it something gets messed up.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As I said before, I’m a Michigan medical Marijuana caregiver so I grow for my 4 patients that I take care of, this is my full-time job and I love it! I’m proud to be able to grow something for people who actually need cannabis, I’m known for the quality of it as I try to stay organic for my indoor grow. My outdoor grow I feed them nothing but water and let mother nature do her thing!
What are your plans for the future?
No big plans for the future, maybe try to get some more sponsors for my grow so my name gets out in the cannabis community more. And try to make my grow bigger so I can help more people.
