Meet Gran Trueno of Detroit, Michigan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gran Trueno.

Hi Gran, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
In July of 2022 I began my pro wrestling Journey at The House of Truth wrestling school in Center Line, Michigan. It was one of the most challenging experiences of my life and there were many days where I just wanted to quit but I could not allow myself that luxury. I fought tooth and nail and was finally cleared to compete in pro wrestling action by October 2022. From there I I traveled all across the United States, wrestling all across the country, gaining fans and recognition across the way. Becoming recognized in the scene was difficult for me as a lot of promotions are hard, but as I continued in my pro wrestling journey I’ve found myself climbing the ladder more and more each year, but the ladder is never-ending and there is always more work to be done. I must continue my work to achieve my goal of being a signed professional wrestler. Exciting thing are ahead. You will be seeing me worldwide soon as I summon the storms across every continent!!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road was anything but smooth. I was teased at any mention of wrestling when I was a child in school. I struggled greatly in pro wrestling training, everything about it was so new to me and I struggled to learn at the same pace as my fellow students. My trainer even suggested that I just quit at one point, but I was not going to accept failure. I buckled down and was able to graduate on time. I then dedicated my life to the craft taking every show I could get and often wrestling 4 or 5 matches a day for festivals. All this finally got me to a position I could be proud of, but don’t get me wrong, I’m still not comfortable. I’m hungry and want to be something extraordinary.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am luchador. I wrestle for the entertainment of the fans and the crowd in attendance I specialize in the wrestling style known as Lucha libre. I learned this style from seminars with Laredo kid, Lince Dorado as well as training with Atomico. I’m most proud of how far I’ve been able to come as a character and as an in ring talent. My high flying fast paced offense sets me apart from any else in the indie circuit. My colorful masks and attire also sets me apart, as I often wear non traditional color schemes
