Today we’d like to introduce you to Brent Wall.
Hi Brent, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
The T. Wall Foundation was founded more than 30 years ago by my father with a clear mission: to bring people together to support youth and families in our community. From its earliest days, the Foundation has focused on creating access, opportunity, and meaningful experiences for those who need it most.
Growing up, I saw firsthand how impactful that mission could be—especially for children and young adults with special needs. Many of the Foundation’s earliest programs centered on inclusion, ensuring that individuals of all abilities could participate, feel supported, and be celebrated alongside their peers.
Today, I’m honored to carry that legacy forward as Executive Director of the T. Wall Foundation. A core part of our work continues to focus on serving the special needs youth and young adult community through inclusive events, partnerships with local schools and organizations, and programs that foster confidence, belonging, and joy.
While we’ve expanded our reach and impact over the years, our purpose remains the same: to create opportunities, build community, and support families in ways that truly make a difference—now and for generations to come.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like most meaningful work, it hasn’t always been a smooth road. Over the years, the Foundation has faced many of the same challenges nonprofits often encounter—limited resources, changing community needs, and the ongoing effort to balance sustainability with impact.
There have also been moments of transition, especially as leadership evolved and the Foundation adapted to serve new generations. Stepping into the Executive Director role came with the responsibility of honoring my father’s legacy while also modernizing how we operate, fundraise, and grow.
Perhaps the greatest challenge has been ensuring we continue to show up consistently for the special needs youth and young adults we serve. Their needs don’t pause, even when funding is tight or circumstances change. Navigating those realities has required creativity, strong partnerships, and a deep commitment to the mission.
Each challenge, however, has strengthened the Foundation. They’ve reinforced why this work matters and reminded us that perseverance, community support, and staying true to our purpose are what ultimately move us forward.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Professionally, I’m the Founder and CEO of Student Athlete Score, a technology platform built to help student-athletes better understand, grow, and monetize their personal brands in today’s NIL era. At its core, the company provides data, insights, and tools that empower athletes, schools, and brands to make smarter, more equitable decisions around opportunities.
What truly connects Student Athlete Score to the T. Wall Foundation is why it was built. Both are grounded in the same belief: young people deserve access to opportunity, guidance, and support—especially those who may not traditionally have it. Whether it’s helping a college athlete understand their marketability or creating inclusive experiences for special needs youth and young adults, the mission is about leveling the playing field.
What sets my professional work apart is the athlete-first approach. We don’t just focus on top performers or high-profile programs; we focus on education, transparency, and long-term development. That same mindset carries into the Foundation’s work—meeting individuals where they are and helping them grow with confidence and dignity.
What I’m most proud of, brand-wise, is that both Student Athlete Score and the T. Wall Foundation are built on trust, community, and impact. One operates through technology and data, the other through service and inclusion—but together, they reflect the same values and commitment to empowering the next generation.
What’s next?
Looking ahead, we’re incredibly excited about the next chapter of the T. Wall Foundation and the opportunities in front of us.
A major focus is expanding and diversifying our events calendar. We’re creating additional inclusive community events that bring families, sponsors, and volunteers together—while continuing to center the special needs youth and young adult community we proudly serve. These events are not only about fundraising, but about belonging, celebration, and shared experiences.
We’re also laying the groundwork for a long-term endowment, which is a critical step in ensuring the Foundation’s sustainability for decades to come. Our goal is to build a financial base that allows us to plan further ahead, weather economic uncertainty, and consistently support families and programs without interruption.
One of the most exciting developments is our involvement in large-scale, high-visibility community events, including opportunities like the Big House 5K. Events like this dramatically elevate awareness, bring new supporters into the mission, and allow us to share our story with a much broader audience.
Ultimately, what we’re most looking forward to is growth with purpose—serving more families, creating more inclusive experiences, and building a Foundation that will continue to make a meaningful impact well into the future.
