

Today we’d like to introduce you to Roy Jackson Jr
Hi Roy, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hello my name is Roy Jackson Jr a Flint, Michigan native I’m currently a retired professional basketball player where I played overseas in various countries such as Spain, Italy, Mexico, Croatia and Spain and signed with Qatar during COVID year. I’ve been helping student athletes get into college obtaining full athletic scholarships since 2018 when I officially started my own Recruiting Service called “Dreamz Two Reality Basketball LLC” in which I got everything finalized January of 2019. It all started because the passion that I have for the game of basketball and helping kids as well to guide them in the direction to where they can turn their “Dreamz Into Reality. I currently been in this field for 7 year helping over 100+ athletes obtain scholarship or get them college offers. I currently host events in the state of Michigan to get more student athletes seen on a bigger platform. Some of the events that I host in 2024 were
1st Annual Dreamz Two Reality High School All-American Basketball Game was held May 4, 2024 @ Detroit Catholic Central High School in (Novi, Michigan) that consist of the Top 20 student athletes in the state that obtain a DI or D2 scholarship and this past year we had 14 DI athletes attend to name a few were TJ Nadeau (Detroit Mercy), Nathan Johnson (Detroit, Mercy), Chas Lewless ( San Diego), Jaylan Ouwinga (Toledo), Warren Marshall IV (Oakland U), Landon Williams (Niagara) & Tyler Spratt (Cleveland St). The 2nd Annual Dreamz Two Reality High School All-American Game will be held May 3, 2025 @ Detroit Catholic Central High School that already has 16 Division I athletes confirmed.
1st Annual Back Two School Basketball Camp was held August 16th & 17th @ Flint Hamady High School where the kids learned valuable skills and drills along with life lessons on becoming a better player and athlete on and off the court and in the process we gave away 50 backpacks that included school supplies for the kids. The 2nd Annual Back Two School Basketball Camp will be help August 17th @ Flint Hamady High School.
In 2025 I have added another event for the Genesee & Saginaw county kids called the 1st Annual Mid Michigan I-75 Hardwood basketball Classic that will be held April 26, 2025 @ Flinr Hamady High School the game will start at 6:00pm. This game consist of the Top 20 student athletes in the area to give them a opportunity to play in front of coaches and to be acknowledged for their great high school career and to name a few that will participate in that game are Saginaw United Point Guard TJ Stevenson who recently committed to Central State University and Goodrich High School Forward Parker Leola who just signed with University Of Indianapolis.
My goal with my Dreamz Two Reality Basketball LLC Brand is to put many events in the state all across the area to reach more student athletes and give them more opportunities to succeed on and off the court and help guide them to a free education and potentially be a professional athlete one day.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey have been smooth so far because I’m helping kids pursue their goal of becoming a student athlete no matter what division it is the ultimate goal is too get a free education and further your athletic career. And by me going through the journey first hand I can guide them in a direction to where I can lead them with all my college connections.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I played professional basketball overseas for a total of 7 years in and out the state of Michigan as well as international in Italy Spain, Mexico, Croatia and Qatar from 2013-2018 I’ve won various dunk contest in Trieste, Italy in 2014 & 2015 and was the scoring champion in 2017 in Jerez Mexico averaging 34.7 points per game. I later retired in 2019 when I started my business and wanted to focus on the kids and them pursuing their dreams.
Now
I travel around the world playing in different celebrity basketball games, I also do my own basketball tour called “Welcome Two Rackk Island” where my nickname is “Rackk.Thee.Goatt I am with Rojo Talent Management in which they keep me booked with events throughout the year. I’m also part of Court Kingz which is a Legendary Streetball Organization that’s owned by Victor Martinez. The organization travels all over the world including various states and countries.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Networking is key to anything you do so you usually want to find successful people that’s in your same field and reach out to them and get key tips from them. It’s always great to keep individuals around you that can help you elevate in your journey to success.
