Life & Work with Hugh Cleal

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hugh Cleal.

Hi Hugh, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am born and raised in Michigan. I’ve been involved in music since about the age of 8 playing violin and singing. During high school, I began throwing raves and dabbling with DJ’ing at some of them. I kind of took a break from music in my 20s and then at some point decided I really wanted to make music my full-time thing. I started back up my production company and started my first record label Coyote Cuts which led to Golf Clap.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Everything in life has struggles really. Music is really no different and since it’s been so intertwined with everything I do I can’t really differentiate personal and music. I think the main struggle is finding your groove, and then once you find it learning how to adapt to the ever-changing times.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I like to make people dance. plain and simple

What does success mean to you?
Sucess is being able to do what you love and being able to have as much free time as you want to do what you want
