Life & Work with Aaron Brooks

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaron Brooks.

Hi Aaron, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Birds of Prey are a progressive Bluegrass band and bond between brothers in music. Composed of Aaron Brooks (Guitar), Thayer Niemi (Upright Bass), Rob Wardell (Mandolin), and Jayson Brooks (Banjo), their music is layered and lovable, human and huggable. Dance, be merry, be joyful, be free! Rapid Nu-Grass with space to breathe; a reminder that if it’s holding you back, perhaps it’s time to take a breath and let it go. Rooted in spiritual alignment with this earth, their message is hopeful, accessible, and actively being written as they spread their wings, soaring through the Great Lakes region, having opened for prominent national acts as Yonder Mountain String Band, Marshall Tucker Band, Henhouse Prowlers, Dixon’s Violin, and Arkansauce.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It’s like we’ve been on a two-track mountain road! Ups, downs, and all around with some level ground, while some slopes have seemed insurmountable! With everything shutting down being a huge struggle to stay motivated and inspired to forge on! And yet we’ve managed to use all the lessons to see the blessings and keep pursuing our dreams and goals.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We all come from different backgrounds, some in the construction industry, some from the automotive, some from the marine and boat industry. Aaron, the lead singer /guitar, does energy healing work and hosts ceremony and meditation with cacao (chocolate) medicine. We’re most proud of some recent achievements such as opening for the Marshall Tucker band in downtown Detroit and winning a contest to play a large festival in Kentucky called ROMP! Our genuine love and inspiring message through our music sets us apart from the pack!

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
We love working with like-minded artists and would love to connect Via Facebook or Instagram. And these would be the best ways to support us as well, like share follow, purchase tickets, and stream our music. Book us for your events
