Hi Niki & Niko Duo , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
We are Niki and Niko Pinedo, an American-Peruvian husband-and-wife photography duo with over twelve years of experience capturing love stories across the United States, the Caribbean, and South America.

Our journey began in Peru, where fate brought us together when we meet in 2008 and became good friends. Niki earned her degree in Film and Television Production in West Palm Beach, Florida, while Niko holds a degree in Photography from Peru, where he also taught at a local institute for several years. After marrying in 2019, we spent a year and a half living there, nurturing both our love and our shared passion for visual storytelling.

Shortly after our wedding, we followed a dream and opened a film and photography academy in Pucallpa, Peru. We have a few classes until the world came to a standstill in 2020 when Covid-19 hit. When the pandemic forced us to close our doors, we found ourselves at a crossroads. During months of quarantine, we made a life-changing decision: to start anew in the United States.

With two suitcases, our two cats, and a baby on the way, we left everything behind and began again in Florida. Niko worked various jobs to support our growing family while we continued to take on photography sessions whenever possible. Fueled by determination and faith, Niko studied digital marketing and learned how to use Meta’s platforms to reach clients online and Niki scheduled calls, sent contracts and did timeline planning with the brides. What started as a small wedding photography ad quickly turned into a wave of inquiries and with teamwork, by January 2023, we were blessed to transition into full-time wedding photography and videography.

Now, as a family of four, we’ve recently settled in Central Florida, where most of our clients are based, though our work often takes us across state lines and beyond.

As a husband-and-wife team, we believe photography is more than just capturing moments; it’s about preserving emotions and telling the stories that make life extraordinary. Every couple, every family, and every love story is unique and we dedicate ourselves to documenting those connections with authenticity, warmth, and artistry.

Our mission is simple: to make every client feel comfortable, seen, and celebrated while we capture the magic of their most meaningful moments. We’re deeply grateful to all who have trusted us to tell their stories. With our 2026 calendar nearly full and bookings already underway for 2027, we are reminded every day of how blessed we are and how our hard work is paying off to create a beautiful future for our kids. Above all, we give thanks to God for guiding our path and for the incredible journey that continues to unfold through our lens.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has certainly not been a smooth road. Running your own business is far more challenging than it may appear from the outside. It requires a deep sense of discipline to consistently deliver the level of excellence you want your clients to experience. Balancing work and family life has also been its own adventure — with little ones at home, finding that equilibrium can be tricky. Yet, despite the challenges, we feel incredibly blessed to be able to spend our days with our children while pursuing the work we love.

We are a creative duo passionate about telling love stories through the lens. With years of experience capturing weddings, portraits, and unforgettable moments, our style combines elegance, authenticity, and emotion. What truly sets us apart is the heart behind our work. As a husband-and-wife team, we don’t just document a wedding, we experience it alongside our couples. We understand the emotion, the anticipation, and the meaning behind every moment, because we’ve lived those feelings ourselves.
