Hi Yasmeen, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Casa 786 Events started from a very personal place in our hearts. When my middle sister was planning her wedding, the cost of decor and event styling was a major challenge. At the same time, every detail mattered to her, and we wanted to make her day feel beautiful and special without spending an overwhelming amount of money.
My older sister and I began brainstorming ways to create a memorable wedding on a budget. At the time, we had no experience in the event industry. We were simply two sisters who loved making family moments feel meaningful, unique, and beautiful.
We took on the task of planning and decorating the wedding ourselves. As expected, there were plenty of mistakes and lessons learned along the way—it was our very first event. Despite the challenges, the experience sparked something in me. I discovered how much I genuinely enjoyed the creative process. Even with all the stress and pressure that come with events, I found the work exciting, rewarding, and fulfilling.
After the wedding, I had accumulated a collection of decor and event supplies. Instead of selling everything, I decided to continue building my inventory little by little. I started purchasing simple pieces from various places, gradually expanding our collection into what it is today.
Throughout this journey, my older sister has been my biggest supporter and truly my right hand. I honestly do not think I would have pursued this path without her encouragement and partnership. She is constantly thinking outside the box, and her creativity shines through every event we design, as well as through our Instagram page and the work we create together.
Over time, one wedding led to another, and one event grew into many more. We are incredibly grateful to every client who has trusted us to be part of their most special moments and celebrations. That trust means everything to us and is something we never take for granted.
We still have a long way to go, and there is so much more for us to learn and achieve. However, we are proud of how far we have come. We truly feel that we are in the middle of our journey, not at the end of it.
Our dream is for Casa 786 Events to continue growing into a successful family business that can one day be passed down to future generations. More than anything, we hope to continue creating beautiful experiences, meaningful memories, and unforgettable celebrations for the families and communities we serve.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It is definitely a challenging journey and involves far more work than most people see behind the scenes. It all begins with planning every detail alongside the client, including the date, budget, theme, colors, and the many small touches that make each event unique. Then comes the preparation stage, where we organize and gather everything needed for the event from our home and storage space.
Next, we transport everything to the venue, unload it, and spend hours setting up while ensuring every detail is perfectly in place. Once the event is over, we return late at night to dismantle everything, pack it up, transport it back, and reorganize it for future events. One of the most challenging parts is putting everything back in its proper place so it’s ready for the next event.
It is physically demanding and emotionally exhausting work, but I feel incredibly fortunate because my family is always by my side. We truly work together as a team, and their support makes all the difference.
We’ve been impressed with Casa 786 Events, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Casa 786 Events is a family-owned event decor business specializing in weddings, engagements, bridal showers, baby showers, graduations, and other special celebrations. What started as helping decorate my sister’s wedding gradually grew into something much bigger than we ever expected.
We are known for creating elegant, personalized events that make people feel happy, comfortable, and excited on their special day. We love taking our clients’ ideas and transforming them into beautiful realities while adding our own creativity and style. From stages and backdrops to balloons, florals, and table settings, we put our heart into every detail.
