Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My real estate career began after I graduated from Spelman College in 2019 with a degree in economics. I had a job offer lined up after completing my studies in December, but my post-grad plans took an unexpected turn when COVID hit in March 2020.

At the time, my father, a licensed real estate agent, was actively flipping homes in Detroit. Inspired by his work, I decided to move back home and obtain my real estate license. In 2020, I launched my career as a full-time agent—and I haven’t looked back since.

Since becoming licensed, I’ve sold over $10 million in real estate, hosted multiple industry events, and expanded my reach across Michigan. I also co-host Sold Sistas, a weekly real estate podcast where we educate, inspire, and share insights on the industry.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My career has been a blessing. No one’s path to success is completely smooth, but the most important thing is to be honest with yourself and pivot when your old strategies no longer work. The key is to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth—that’s the mindset I apply not just to my career, but to life in general.

For a while, my biggest struggle was finding the balance between work and downtime. Real estate can be all-consuming if you’re not intentional about carving out time for yourself. Learning to set boundaries and prioritize self-care has been crucial in sustaining my success and overall well-being.

My faith has been the most important factor in my success, guiding me through every challenge and opportunity. I’m also blessed with an incredible support system. My immediate family and friends are my biggest advocates, constantly referring clients and encouraging people to use my services. My parents and siblings have always been in my corner, but I’d be remiss not to mention my amazing mentor and now team lead, Future Davis. She continually motivates me and pushes me to reach new heights in my career, challenging me to grow both professionally and personally.
