Hi Malika, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Growing up in a religious community, the topics of women’s spirituality, menstruation, bodies, sex, and mental health were seen as taboo, not spoken about, or spoken about improperly. Ever since I was a child I could sense a lack of intimacy, a lack of truth, and a lack of care when it came to the ways adults in positions of authority discussed (more like attempted to discuss…) these things. I believe as women we can be strongly rooted in our faith, following the principles of God, and still empower ourselves by discussing these things and becoming in tune with who we are as women. Many aspects of religion have been infected with misogyny, the negative effects of patriarchy, and the suppression of female voices. It has become a main goal of mine to break these stigmas and allow all women to rise above suppression. Hence “Queens Rise”.
My cravings for truth and authenticity have continuously lit a fire under my feet in my personal pursuit of knowledge leading into my adult life. I have been studying women’s health, herbalism, and lapidary medicine for 10 years now. After all my years of research and experience self-healing with the products that I now share with the world, I still find that the very holistic health practices (specifically yoni steaming & detox pearls) that have aided women for centuries remain unknown to most women, and worse, are even demonized by western medicine practitioners. This fire grew and grew as I started realizing big truths about the medical industry. The same “medical experts” that give you bleach and chemical filled menstruation products are the ones we’re supposed to take advice from? What the industry doesn’t want you to know is that God gave us a cure to every ailment, and every cure can be found in His Creation.
My purpose is to create and share medicine, true medicine: spiritual and physical. Potent, true, and healing. A means for every woman to connect and to know themselves and love themselves a bit deeper.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I believe when God places something on your heart and ordains for you to do something with your spiritual gifts, it is relatively easy to begin walking that path because God will clear any obstacle in your way. I gave up a previous successful business for the sake of my relationship with God, and only 2 months later He inspired me to start this business.
The pursuit of knowledge, especially esoteric and niche spiritual knowledge, comes with a great amount of responsibility. It is challenging to go against the grain of what is common and do something that could rattle others’ sense of reality. I believe I am making a wave that no one has before. I created products that do not exist anywhere else, and I am proud of the creative process and the years of self work it took to build this idea.
Everyone has struggles, and a lot of the time God has us struggle in order to discover healing. I am a woman, a mother, and a healer. A woman’s life is not easy, we must take on the weight of the spiritual realm, we must experience menstruation, we must be women in a world that is sadly mistaken for a man’s. A mother’s life is a beautiful struggle, from pregnancy to labor, the responsibility of creating and growing life, nurturing and teaching, selflessness, and most of all: self sacrifice. A healer’s path is full of breaks and tears and repairs and stitches. One must fall in order to get up. One must know pain to appreciate comfort. One must experience sickness to heal. We are ever changing and ever learning beings. Challenges may come and have come, but its about how you RISE above these challenges.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Queens Rise LLC is a multifaceted company that centers its focus on women. The company’s main objective is to empower women to rise above adversity through holistic healing, sisterhood, faith, and art mediums. Malika’s ultimate goal in founding this company is to bring women together and educate religious communities about topics seen as taboo such as but not limited to: confidence, feminine hygiene, motherhood, stability, beauty standards, and holistic healthcare. We hope to attain this through seminars, vendor events, group classes, and community activities. Ultimately, we are passionate about facilitating safe spaces for girls and women to learn more about their health, their rights, their capabilities, and their Creator.
The first product we created is the Queen’s Steam, an organic, herbal vaginal steam blend. This is packaged in our signature heart shaped jar with a rose quartz crystal on top. Our second product we created is Queen’s Kava Cacao, an organic “hot cocoa” blend of ceremonial herbs meant to bring deep relaxation and help the user cope with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, insomnia, stress, and creative blockages. This has been a customer favorite, and is packaged in a reusable heart jar with a red jasper stone on top. Our third product is Moon Time Tea, an organic tea blend meant to help aid women through menstruation, ease cramps, balance hormones, and elevate mood. This is packaged in our signature jar with a moonstone crystal.
What sets this business apart from others (besides from, like, everything) is our authenticity and commitment to sustainability. All our products are made with organic, locally sourced herbs in small batches and packaged in reusable glass jars hand embellished with crystals by Malika Majesty. Our goal is to provide you with a great product but Las have that product packaged in something beautiful for you to reuse for life. We refill our customer’s product jars, and offer refill bags for our Queen’s Steam jars.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I have always been a risk taker, maybe even to a fault. I am not one to color inside the lines or to conform to societal expectations. As a child, my father described me as “spirited”. My personality, emotions, and passion have always been larger than life. My faith in God has always been strong. Taqwa is what we call “God Consciousness” in Arabic. It’s being aware of God’s omnipotence, omnipresence, and omniscience. I feel that when you are operating at a certain level of consciousness, risks don’t feel too risky. One should not be afraid to fail or afraid to lose anything, because it all belongs to God. Nothing can come into fruition without the ordinance of The Most High. There are two outcomes of risking something: loss or reward. Both outcomes are valuable. In loss there is a lesson, and in reward there is a blessing.
