Today we’d like to introduce you to Aliyah Brown

Hi Aliyah, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Aliyah Brown, born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. I am a wife to an amazing husband and we are parents of two beautiful daughters. I call myself a mompreneur because I am a proud stay at home mother with a thriving business. I have a digital marketing business called My Twenty Vision which began as a blog where I shared inspirational stories about life and being a millennial during my college years. I started writing more and learning the ins and outs about web development while taking a journalism course. I took it upon myself to do photography and designed another website called “Aliyah Media”, this is where I begin teaching myself skills like graphic design. Also, during this time I was managing a few small businesses social media accounts, and this generated passive income. In 2019, I graduated at Oakland University and doing all sort of jobs, but still had a passion for digital marketing and graphic design. I started job searching high and low, to being a teacher for a couple years. Later I get married and became a mother in which pushed me to fully pursue being a business owner of my brand. I quit my job in 2022 and was a full time entrepreneur. My Twenty Vision was the name I always loved rooted from blog. I rebranded the name with the slogan “The Place to See Your Vision Come to Life”. I am excited to continue my entrepreneurial journey.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being an entrepreneur definitely hasn’t been easy especially being a mom of two girls ages 2 and under. Some days trying to balance motherhood with my business can make working at home hard. Definitely I had to find the groove of my work, and my personal life. Though, I find ways to stay focus by creating a schedule with a routine for my children. My husband makes it easier for me to have this lifestyle. The road may not be smooth all the time, but success doesn’t come easy.

We’ve been impressed with My Twenty Vision, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My Twenty Vision is a digital marketing agency that provides services for web design, content creation with social media management, business cards, flyers and logo design. Most of my clients are business owners and need assistance with marketing their products and services with eye catching content. I make sure the content you see will bring more customers or traffic to their business, website or social media. I believe quality is key and should always be visually appealing. My goal is to always show up and give 100% with each client no matter if the project is big or small. I am proud of my brand and how far I come with continuously learning new skills to improving my business with a sense of purpose. I always say it’s always room for growth. The best part about my job is I get to teach others what I’ve learned so I have mini sessions on Instagram LIVE every Wednesday. I called it “We LIVE Wednesday”, and my followers tune in to learn tips and tricks about digital marketing.

What does success mean to you?
I define success which is not about how much money you make. I believe success is about you living your life with passion and fulfillment of doing something you love. I successful because of my faith, family, and my career.
