Today we’d like to introduce you to Renee’ Wager. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Renee Wager owner and founder of 313 Mobile Movie Night was born in Detroit Mi. She is married to her loving husband Christopher and they both enjoy watching a great movie together. So, one day Renee told her husband about the outdoor movie concept. Christopher loved his wife’s idea and they both decided that it would be a fun way to entertain family and friends for any and all occasions!! So, in the Spring of 2019, they executed the plan to service the Metropolitan Detroit area. Now 4 years later the business is still striving well.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has been fun doing the Outdoor Movie experience, but at times it has been rough. And when I mean rough, I’m talking about navigating through the different weather patterns we experience here in Michigan. Our business is a family business and we need help but it’s hard to find someone dedicated to our schedule. It’s a fast-paced environment and we meet a lot of wonderful people. Just when I think is it worth the stress, that all changes once we arrive at our customers’ homes and see them waiting for us so excited!! I love what I do!!!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I consider myself an entrepreneur now. I’ve worked at a few places over the years and when I observed how they ran their businesses, I’ve always known that I could do it better. The jobs that I had weren’t so great and I was not being treated very well at all. In 2019 that when I reached my breaking point and decided to start my own business. The best decision I ever made absolutely no regrets. In my heart, I am a dreamer and when I have an idea, I can bring it to life like no other.
What makes you happy?
Knowing that I am healthy and have my family makes me the most happy. My mother is my best friend and we talk several times a day on FaceTime and I visit her quite often. My father died in 2021 from complications of diabetes. But most of all knowing that what I do makes my customers so happy it’s the best feeling in the world!!
