Daily Inspiration: Meet Hillary Coleman

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hillary Coleman.

Hi Hillary, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
10 years ago, I bought a couple succulents and killed them! I kept buying more succulents and learning from trial and error. As I began to widen my plant knowledge, Plant parenthood was becoming easier and easier, and family and friends were always asking for plant tips. Fast forward to March 2020, I was laid off from a VERY toxic job, and by July 2020 I 1991greenery, LLC was established.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
In the beginning, 1991greenery was smooth sailing. It took off fast! With so many plant lovers turning their plant hobby into an online nursery, it has for sure kept me on my toes. This has taught me to be more creative. I have to come out with fresh ideas and stay 10 steps ahead. I Love the challenge.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
1991greenery is here to make plant parenthood less scary. I offer…

Free plant consulting

In-home visits, to help diagnose plant issues or repot plants.

Easy to care for houseplants

I am known for helping people keep their houseplants and gardens alive and thriving.

I am proud of that!

What sets me apart from others is my knowledge. I’ve had a lot of time to educate myself so I can educate others. All of the information that I give to my customers, I’ve experienced.

I LOVE what I do!

Keep providing my plant people with more plant information, and I also have some new products and plans coming very soon.
