Conversations with Domonique Brace and Jenna Corey

Today we’d like to introduce you to Domonique Brace and Jenna Corey.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Jenna and I were introduced many years ago by her aunt, shortly before the shutdown in 2020 we met for dinner and really connected. We discussed trends for parties and wanted to create events locally that offered that “Wow” factor. We created something fun for her niece’s open house that summer and sort of propelled from that point. We enjoy all kinds of events but have primarily focused on balloon artistry through the pandemic & creating many amazing installs.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s been an experience. Jenna had a previous small business so she walked us through creating a bank account & establishing our LLC. We’ve had supply issue woes like every other business and trying to establish ourselves as unique & creative in the space of events has been a challenge. We want to create full experiences like picnics, vignettes, fun stations, & party packages.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
We’ve been truly thankful for our clients. We were contacted to create something when the Michigan vaccine winners were selected and that moment felt very special. We are proud of our resiliency and ability to keep learning about various balloon artist styles and adapt them to fit our client’s needs. It’s been surreal being asked to share our story. Our specialty has been balloons but we did full planning for a wedding in August 2021 including floral, setup, stationary, etc. & that was really meaningful to us as a small business.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Jenna- Progress over perfection. We have great teamwork & dreams to push our business further. We want to make our clients feel special.

Domonique- I’d say it’s our ability to keep creating. Life sometimes feels like a hamster wheel but to sit back & make something special for an expecting mom for a baby shower just feels good. She feels beautiful & we feel good about providing our services.

  • Balloons are sold by the foot for $18.75
  • We have additional pricing for foils, pampas, floral, etc.
  • We have a style guide that we send to inquiries.
  • Pricing is also on our site for some of our items.
