Roy Notary Agency was founded in 2021, inspired by over a decade of experience in health and human services. Having had extensive experience in problem-solving and having served as a change agent for many, I am well-equipped. As a non-traditional college graduate of Wayne County Community College District and having earned my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Wayne State University, I learned the importance of leadership through discipline, serving, and learning. Having encountered countless situations where individuals faced life-altering events but lacked education on critical medical paperwork, I saw a gap. I created this business to provide more than just notarization – I wanted to offer guidance, education, and support to those in need. This industry is not just a side hustle or extra income for me; it’s a passion. Having used notary services in the past, I realized that many professionals lacked the patience and knowledge to navigate complex documents with clients. While we are not a legal service, we are deeply committed to collaboration and connecting individuals to community resources so that no one is left without options. As a licensed social worker clinician, I often work with clients who require these services, and I take pride in offering them the knowledge and time they need to understand the power of attorney, guardianship, divorce, and financial assets, and the importance of establishing clear points of contact. I believe in bridging gaps, breaking barriers, and ensuring that every client walks away feeling confident in their decisions.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
So far, running this business has been a smooth experience, but like any venture, it comes with its ups and downs. Every day presents new learning opportunities as policies and laws continue to evolve. While I’ve adapted well to working with these changes, my biggest challenges lie in increasing awareness about my business and building strong community connections. Many people tend to overlook notary services, often due to pricing perceptions, despite the fact that they are in high demand.

Roy Notary Agency is run and operated from my home office, but I also enjoy meeting clients in the community over coffee or tea. What sets my business apart is my dedication to providing thorough, professional, and friendly service. In addition to in-person notarizations, I offer remote online notarization worldwide, making my services accessible to clients no matter where they are.

I accept appointments in advance and am available for business contract notary service. I collaborate with a variety of businesses throughout Detroit, West Bloomfield, Birmingham, Plymouth, and Canton, MI, to name a few. Additionally, I have played a role in shaping the careers of many medical professionals by assisting with advanced centers throughout their journeys. My business is built on a strong professional reputation, ensuring that every client receives confidential, reliable, and knowledgeable services.
