Today we’d like to introduce you to Erin Bannink.
Hi Erin , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My path has been an interesting blend of science, healing, spirituality, and personal transformation. Professionally, I’m a board-certified veterinary oncologist and integrative medicine practitioner, and my world was deeply rooted in medicine, research, and helping pets and their families through cancer journeys. I’ve always been driven by a desire to truly help people and animals heal—not just physically, but on a deeper level as well.
Over time, I began to recognize that even when we address the physical body, many people still feel disconnected, overwhelmed, unfulfilled, or stuck. I saw this both in the clients I worked with, in my veterinary colleagues and in my own life. Despite outward success and achievement, there was a deeper dimension of healing, purpose, and human potential that I had been searching for without success despite studying many different traditions and reading many books.
That search eventually led me to the ancient Mystery School lineage of King Salomon, by way of a healing session called a Life Activation. At first, I was skeptical—I come from a very science-based background and had experienced first hand the pitfalls of many so called “spiritual paths” in the new age movement—but what I experienced through the trainings and initiations offer by the Modern Mystery School was profoundly grounded, transformational, practical and rooted in an over 3000 year old lineage. Rather than encouraging escape from life, this path taught me how to become more present, empowered, clear, and aligned within it.
What deeply resonated with me was that this path was not about blind belief, dogma or giving power away to something or someone outside yourself—it was about direct experience, self-mastery, service, and real inner transformation. While I initially started my explorations out of a quest to find better answers to the questions I had about life, healing, the universe and our human potential, the depth of well-being I was able to achieve eventually led me to a deep desire to help others who were seeking help like I was and still not finding the answers to the bigger questions.
Through years of training, healing work, spiritual study, and personal practice, I have now become a professionally trained Senior Spiritual Guide, metaphysical teacher and healer certified through the Modern Mystery School International. I am the founder of Divine PowerHouse Center for Healing and Enlightenment in Rochester, Michigan. My mission is to help people reconnect with their inner power, purpose, peace, and spiritual potential through authentic lineage-based teachings, healings, meditation, and initiation.
I am also about to publish my first book, “So Your Pet Has Cancer… Now What?” Rooted in honoring the profound power of the human–animal bond and optimizing quality of life, this book helps pet parents find clarity so they can take positive, grounded, and confident action. Using the Three Cornerstones of Whole-Being Wellness, I help readers create a powerful foundation of healing reaching far beyond the physical into the realms of Soul and Spirit. This book is so much more than a guide to cancer patient care: it is an invitation to walk the journey of life with our pets with greater care, compassion, and presence. Through that journey we come to see that the life we create for them becomes the life that transforms us.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like everyone, I have experienced my own challenges and struggles in life. In many ways, the challenges were the very things that pushed me toward the work I do now. Like many high-achieving professionals, I spent years focused on external success, responsibility, and caring for others. Veterinary oncology is deeply meaningful work, but it also places you in constant contact with grief, stress, emotional intensity, and very high expectations. I began to realize that achievement alone doesn’t automatically create fulfillment, peace, or inner alignment. But I wasn’t able to find the answers I was looking for despite years of yoga, meditation and spiritual study. I experienced extreme burnout at one point, which led me to contemplate abandoning the career that I had spent my entire life building.
In the end, I discovered that my lack of joy and internal sense of fulfillment had nothing to do with my career or external circumstances. It had to do with the fact that I had tried so hard to “fit in” to the world of science and medicine that I had fragmented myself. I had created a huge separation between my spiritual life, which was vivid and real to me, and my physical existence and job, which was acceptable to the world of science and Western medicine in which I had invested so much of my life. That led to what I understand now as a “Soul Sickness,” which no amount of medication, supplements, meditation, yoga, exercise, healthy eating or even a career change could fix.
There was also the challenge of stepping into something unconventional publicly. It’s one thing to explore spirituality privately; it’s another to build a business and openly talk about energy healing, initiation, and consciousness while also being a board-certified veterinary oncologist. That required a lot of personal growth, courage, and learning to trust myself more deeply while letting go to fear of what others might say.
It took time to reconcile those parts of myself and realize they didn’t actually have to be in conflict.
Another struggle was realizing that true transformation is rarely instantaneous. Like many people, I initially looked for success and fulfillment externally. But the deeper lesson was that sustainable transformation, inner peace and fulfillment comes from knowing who we are and living in alignment with our own personal mission. That kind of understanding requires self-awareness, discipline, humility, and a willingness to continually evolve. The path of initiation really taught me that mastery is not about perfection—it’s about integration and becoming more whole over time.
Ironically, many of the things that once felt like obstacles became some of my greatest strengths. My medical background helps me communicate spirituality in a grounded and relatable way, while my spiritual training helps me support people more holistically and compassionately. Looking back, the difficult parts of the journey were also the parts that shaped the depth, authenticity, and purpose behind the work I do today.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My work through Divine PowerHouse is centered around helping people reconnect with their inner power, purpose, peace, and spiritual potential through authentic lineage-based teachings and transformational tools. Divine PowerHouse was created as a space for healing, empowerment, and self-mastery—a place where people can experience real inner transformation in a grounded and practical way.
A large part of my work focuses on helping people integrate spirituality into real life. Many of the individuals I work with are thoughtful, successful, high-achieving professionals who have accomplished a great deal externally but still feel that something deeper is missing. They are often searching for greater meaning, inner peace, clarity, authentic connection, or a stronger relationship with themselves and the Divine.
Many people come to me after years of self-help programs, workshops, or spiritual exploration that left them inspired temporarily but without lasting change. The work I do focuses on integration, coherence, and sustainable transformation. Rather than offering quick fixes or spiritual escapism, I provide a path that emphasizes practical tools, daily practices, personal responsibility, and real energetic change.
I specialize in transformational work that helps people move beyond simply “coping” and into true inner empowerment. Some of my core offerings include Life Activation sessions, energy healing, meditation classes, spiritual mentorship, Full Moon meditations, and initiatory training through the ancient Hermetic lineage of King Salomon, preserved and kept pure through the efforts of Modern Mystery School international. I also teach classes focused on self-mastery, intuition, sacred geometry, astral travel, spiritual healing, and practical spiritual tools that can be integrated into everyday life.
What makes Divine PowerHouse unique is that the work is both deeply spiritual and highly practical. Rather than encouraging people to escape from life, the teachings are designed to help people become more empowered within their lives—to strengthen their energy, gain clarity, heal old patterns, develop spiritual tools, and live with greater intention and alignment.
I also place a strong emphasis on authenticity, lineage, and direct experience. All the tools and teachings I offer come from this ancient Mystery School lineage that is aligned with the divine and that has preserved methods of healing, meditation, and initiation for thousands of years. For many people, there is something profoundly meaningful about receiving tools and initiations that are part of an unbroken tradition dedicated to self-mastery, service, and the evolution of consciousness.
One of the things that sets Divine PowerHouse apart is our emphasis on grounded, authentic, and sustainable transformation. Many people come to us after exploring a wide range of self-help or spiritual modalities that may provide temporary inspiration or peak experiences, but not necessarily lasting integration or empowerment. Our approach is different because it focuses on awakening and strengthening what already exists within the individual rather than seeking power outside of oneself.
The path we teach is rooted in the understanding that human beings already carry immense spiritual potential within them. The “technology” for transformation—clarity, intuition, healing capacity, connection to the Divine, inner peace, and higher consciousness—is already built into the human energetic structure. Our work is designed to activate, strengthen, and refine those innate capacities through ancient lineage-based tools, meditation, initiation, and disciplined spiritual practice.
Because of this philosophy, our path does not involve the use of psychedelics or external substances as a means of spiritual growth. While many people today are searching for transformative experiences, we believe true empowerment comes from developing direct awareness, mastery, and connection through one’s own consciousness rather than giving power away to anything outside oneself. The goal is not to escape reality, but to become more fully present, integrated, empowered, and aligned within it.
We also place a strong emphasis on coherence and embodiment. Spirituality, in our view, should make someone more grounded, compassionate, clear-minded, purposeful, and capable in everyday life—not less. The teachings are meant to support people in building authentic inner strength and living with greater peace, responsibility, sovereignty, and connection to both themselves and the Divine.
Ultimately, what I want readers to know is that Divine PowerHouse exists to help people remember that transformation is possible. No matter where someone is starting from—stress, burnout, grief, disconnection, lack of purpose, or simply the feeling that there must be “something more”—there are tools, teachings, and pathways that can help them reconnect with themselves and build a life that feels more meaningful, empowered, peaceful, and aligned.
