Community Highlights: Meet Charina Dellar of B-Trendy Boutique

Today we’d like to introduce you to Charina Dellar.

Hi Charina, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started my boutique online in the year 2015. I had a huge passion , and eye for fashion . But most importantly , I had an even bigger passion, for helping others with their confidence , and take so much pride in helping them feel good in their own skin, and feel even better in their outfit from my store.

I worked online , from my home boutique , for 8 years. In 2023 , I decided to open my first brick and mortar store location in Oscoda, Michigan . Soon after in the spring of 2024 , opening a second location in Tawas City. After 6 months of having 2 store locations , I decided to close my Oscoda location , as we had outgrown the retail space. In February of 2025, a retail space opened up on Newman street in East Tawas , and we moved again! I had then moved my brick and mortar business 3 times in less than 2 years . That was quite taxing and challenging, but our new space is amazing. Newman street is a GEM of a place , with amazing small businesses up and down both sides , and both blocks .

As a small business owner , mother to 4 kids , wife of a farmer, and a woman , it hasn’t been an easy road. But I wouldn’t give it up for anything else . I truly love what I do, and more than anything love seeing happy customers, lives I have impacted through preaching self confidence , positive mind set , and self love. Profits are great too, but ultimately , helping others is my WHY .

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The commitment it takes to run a small business , keep it profitable , keep it open the hours it needs to be open , and also be online marketing , and available to customers 24/7 , is a huge one. One that doesn’t come with days off , holidays off , and sometimes even a paycheck. But through it all, I stand strong , and will forever fight the small business fight to stay open, and be profitable. I love what I do too much , to ever give up.

We specialize in great quality , affordable , trendy, unique , clothing and accessories for women. We cater to all sizes , shapes , and ages . We are known for our online marketing, specifically for our online live shows ,where you get to know us , and we walk you through sizing , fabrics , and fits. We are also known for stocking sizes for everyone . Stocking Xs thru 4xl online , and Xs thru 3xl in store , always ! We are proud that we can say that, and we are proud that we always will cater to all sizes in our store .

What were you like growing up?
I was a 3 sport athlete growing up, in a small rural community . Always chasing a goal , a dream , a trophy. I have always been self motivated , and always have loved helping and motivating others around me .
