Today we’d like to introduce you to Missy Wilson.

Hi Missy , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My dirty soda journey started with me playing mixologist with my morning water or coffee. I would buy the pour in packets and Syrups and come up with a fun, new drink every morning!! Then I dirty soda started coming across my TikTok and I knew I had to dive in!!

I brought my idea to my friends and most importantly to my husband. They were all very supportive and encouraging. While this is my business I could not do it without the support and man power my husband, Chris, provides. He listens to all of my crazy ideas, is an official taste tester, proof reader, engineer, manual laborer and order taker.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has been relatively smooth, but there are bumps along every journey. Initially, I thought I could buy some tables, soda and syrups and get to business, thankfully I reached out to the local health department and quickly discovered it would be a bit more of a process. I completed all of the necessary paperwork and inspections and was so excited to get the green light to launch mid-July.

We are a mobile, tent set up, so the colder weather is presenting a new obstacle. We are doing some indoor markets, and also fundraising with local schools at basketball games and dances, I am so thankful I am able to give back to my local communities. We also offer different party and catering options to help bring fizzy fun to your special events.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I actually have a 40+ hour “regular” job, doing accounts receivable in Elkhart for a wood distribution company. I have worked hard in my career to build a positive name and reputation for myself. I produce exceptional results, while continuing to adapt to changes.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I am very determined and driven, when I want something I go after it full steam ahead. I have learned to succeed in life you have to have tough skin but also be willing to grow, learn and pivot when necessary. I love meeting new people and making meaningful connections. For me, life is about constant growth and seizing opportunities that are presented.
