Check Out Critical Theory’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Critical Theory.

Hello Critical Theory, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Starting from separate backgrounds, the group amalgamated into one through our love for poetry and music. We met through slam poetry, eventually growing into a strong poetry force. They earned several accolades and eventually grow into a passion for music. Recording anywhere quiet they made several songs and projects eventually performing at south west fest (their bigger show) and currently they have several members in the group dropping projects and a new project coming soon.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road is always volatile for everyone. We’ve had rough spots like shows being rained out, and colliding ideas.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We spread our collective with music but we are much more than just a group of musicians. We are a movement and we specialize in adapting and morphing the world into the reality we imagine. We are most proud in our expansion and growth as a group with now 6 members in the group and a goal more vivid than ever are moving in ways we always imagined at speeds we never could have. Riot Jazz is the future.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success is an illusion. We believe that it really stands as an idea much more than a reality. It’s the idea of complete execution of a goal. We have goals that can’t ever be reached and we love it. It brings purpose. The fact that you can’t reach that level of perfection will drive you to be the best that you can.
