Meet Jasmine Daniels

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Daniels. 

Hi Jasmine, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi! I’m Jasmine Daniels!! Born in Detroit Michigan, I was always a creative kid who loved doing some type of work! I always loved to earn money and work towards building something of my own! I knew that when I became an adult, I wanted to work for myself. 

Starting around the age of 8 or 9 I made money doing small jobs like braiding hair and babysitting. I believed that with putting in the work and hustle, I could eventually get whatever I wanted. 

I went to cosmetology school in high school but I didn’t go back the 2nd year due to unforeseen life events. 

After getting married and having 2 amazing children, my husband and I tried for another child, it was not a successful pregnancy and that was a huge life change for us since we miscarried back-to-back. 

The sadness was great and I slipped into somewhat of a depression. My husband who has been my greatest supporter encouraged me to get back into doing what I love which was hair and interacting with people! I went back to complete cosmetology school and became a licensed cosmetologist! Two years later, I became a salon owner, full-time entrepreneur, and content creator, sharing my hairstyling skills and thoughts with my audience on YouTube and Instagram. 

I am really big on being transparent and doing what I can to inspire people to be their best selves. Hence why I started the “TIP OF THE DAY“ series on my Instagram and TikTok accounts. My goal is reach as many people as I possibly can to let people know” whatever you desire in this life is definitely obtainable if you put your mind to it and do your best in working to make your dreams come true” because we really can have what we want! 

In 2020 I created a line of hair care products for my clients called “FINESSE HAIR CARE” since we were not able to work in the salons at that time. 

My clients absolutely loved them so much, they encouraged me to sell the products online! It has since been a blessing that I give God all of the credit for. 

Not only are my clients still faithful buyers but I get out-of-state orders as well and that keeps me encouraged! 

On all of my social media platforms, I share inspirational advice that I use in my everyday life as I am a devoted Christian and come from a long line of active members in church. I share fashion ideas, travel videos, vlogs, style hauls, and more! 

I literally love creating content to share with others and hopefully brightening up someone’s day! 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Well, definitely not a smooth road but I’d say a road well-traveled. With the back-to-back miscarriages and having to start over in school at the age of 32, I definitely had some confidence issues to work on. After owning my own salon for almost four years the overhead became too great and I shut it down actually 2 weeks before the Covid shutdown so I guess that might have been a blessing in disguise. Lol!!!

I became a suite owner right after Covid where my clients and I have enjoyed the intimate space where we can share a one-on-one experience and do what we do in the salon… shop talk! Lol 

Overall, I’ve been blessed! 

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
As a hairstylist, I specialize in healthy hair care, box braid styles, and extensions. I don’t just do hair for the money, I do it because I love to see my clients’ faces and their spirits just light up at the end of their service. So many times, they tell me how they feel good and they feel pretty! That’s when I know I be done my job because the goal is always to help others feel good about themselves! I’m proud of me! I’m proud that I never gave up on me! 

Honestly, when it comes to the hair industry, I believe my professionalism is what sets me apart. My clients always tell me that they love that I’m professional and THEY don’t see that often enough… The way I see it, I want them to feel good about themselves as well as paying me to help them achieve that without stress and hassle. 

What do you think about luck?
It’s ALL GOOD!!! Anything that hasn’t worked out was not for me. Everything that has worked out has been a great blessing! I have absolutely NO COMPLAINTS! I’m thankful for all of it.
