Rising Stars: Meet VVS Veezy

Today we’d like to introduce you to VVS Veezy.

Hi VVS, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started music when I was 8, I always been in love with words. It was something natural to me but more of a way I can express myself. Most of my family is musically inclined my uncles were in a group in the late 90s called versatile, me and my cousins my age looked up to them, so we followed their footsteps; I use to always write poetry as a kid. I didn’t take music serious until December of 2015, when I was incarcerated by the federal government on a weapons charge. I was wrongfully convicted, but I held my chin high and continued my journey it was a blessing in disguise; while I was incarcerated, I fed my mental all I could. It made me the man I am today.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It never has been a smooth road for me, my life has be very difficult and complicated since I was 8… I honestly believe my life would be an award-winning motion picture. If I could combine two movies to describe my life, it would be Antwan Fisher New Jersey Drive lol. But I definitely been thru a difficult obstacle course; as far as music, I’m an artist; it comes natural to me, the music dude is east, but the business side is a process. Especially if you’re putting every dollar that u own behind your brand. And also promote with no team. But I’m blessed and hardworking; I’m never complaining or looking for handouts. I’ve been thru the worst things, but I’m grateful for those lesson. I have a story to tell,

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am rap artist, visionary, and innovator. I’m known for creating vibes with my music. I’m proud of every song I created. I’m proud of myself for staying consistent and motivated. Though the cards I was dealt was a bad hand, I didn’t cheat or get over, I playing my hand fairly I’m the person who had lemons and made lemonade, at least I’m trying to do so. Turning a negative to a positive, u know? Came from nothing, I mean nothing all I had was myself, so I owe myself a great life.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I’m a person who believes in energy; I know that I’m going to be highly successful and on top really soon because Of the energy I put back into the universe. But still, I will remain humble. But I’m definitely been looking into entrepreneurship; I’ve always wanted to start a T-shirt company and also a laundry mat; those are my next projects I’m looking forward to if music works or it doesn’t. Hopefully, I can have opportunity to be an underwear model lol but serious tho, I just want to be big and able to open doors for individuals like me.
