Daily Inspiration: Meet Grant & Kendra Young

Today we’d like to introduce you to Grant & Kendra Young. Them and their team share their story with us below:

In fall of 2010, Grant and Kendra met in Chicago through a young adult soccer league through Moody Church. There we 10 other teams and our team took first place in the bracket! After bonding over soccer, Grant pursued Kendra for a date, and the rest is history! 

While starting a family starting in 2015, Grant and Kendra started Aim North Engraving. We love woodworking and making creations that are going to encourage, inspire, and cheer people on their path. Aim North Engraving was created to encourage others to “aim north” on their path and seek a sure reference for setting one’s course. For us, that is our faith in God, and we hope to bring joy to people through our engraved signs and creations. 

Fast forward to present year of 2022, we are grateful to report that our family and business has grown! We are proud parents of three boys – Gideon (7), Judah (4), and Caleb (2). When we first started Aim North Engraving, we averaged one order each month. At present date, we average at least one order a day! We have shipped orders all over the United States and even several countries thanks to the internet! 

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We had a growth spurt during our third Christmas season, and we were overwhelmed with orders. After we put our kids down at 8:00 PM, we would work on fulfilling orders and did not stop shipping until 1:00 AM! At this time too, we were still handwriting the addresses… until we discovered ROLLO printing machine! It is funny to look back on because there for a while, we took the long way home to get our shipping done! Through the challenges, we have learned to try to be efficient and effective in our efforts to give our customers our very best!
