Check Out Jashar Rawlings’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jashar Rawlings.

Hi Jashar, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I’ve always been a fan of music as a kid. I used to put on concerts for my parents drumming on pots and pans. I wound up getting my start officially when I had a friend from school see my talent and decide to start managing me. I had fashion designers, meetings, a tour, podcasts, and a big boost in streams which put me in the position I’m so lucky to be in now

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Well, most people would wish everything goes smoothly, but I’m actually satisfied with the hardships coming up. Builds character, I feel. I’ve had tons of times where I’m going to hit the next level, and the rug is pulled from underneath me. I’ve had big opportunities in producing for artists to signing contracts that led me nowhere. It’s really disheartening sometimes, but it makes everything so much more amazing when the right things happen

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m an artist, producer, songwriter, and graphic designer. I specialize in music, and I’m known for the songs and production I create. One of the things I’m most proud of is producing for a nonprofit organization specializing in educational rap music which was featuring on the local 4 news. That as well as going on tour with Def Jam, having articles published, and radio play from around the world. What sets me apart is my style and personality. I love creating content and speaking to upcoming artists and creatives to help move the city in a positive direction

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Yes! I’ve learned (and I think a lot of people have) is that even when we were locked down, it didn’t hinder the creative process of simply uploading videos and music to make people smile. You can do everything from home and still make an impact.
