Today we’d like to introduce you to Carrie Evatz-Schipper.
Hi Carrie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I started my PLLC in 2015 as a startup “side gig,” a way to bring in extra income for my family. By 2017, less than 2 years after founding Pure Beauty & Wellness, I quit my 9-5 private practice position and made this my full-time career. Medical Aesthetics was just up and coming in 2017, and I am one of the original Med Spas in Southeast Michigan. As Medical Aesthetics continues to grow in demand, we also continue to grow our practice. We currently employee 7 women, 4 are full-time staff, and 3 are part-time. We offer many services including cosmetic injections, PRP, skincare, peels, facials, laser therapy, RF micro-needling, and vitamin therapy. We are now looking to purchase our first commercial building and potentially have additional locations.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Entrepreneurship is vast and all-encompassing. I signed for my first “larger” office space lease in March of 2020, just days prior to the entire state and essentially the world shutting in. This was the time to develop strategic plans to separate myself from others. I worked with other business owners, surgeons, nurses, and physician assistants to create an action plan on how we would safely “open” back up during a pandemic.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We are a medspa in Southeast Michigan. We offer medical aesthetic procedures; injectables, laser, Radio Frequency MicroNeedling, PRP, Skincare, peels, facials, and vitamin therapy.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Collaborating with like-minded people has been the best part of growing a company.
