Today we’d like to introduce you to Zeke Emmanuel.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Born and raised in Detroit I’ve always had a habit for hustling creatively. I’ve been working with ArtNuttz at The Dope Spot for a few years now and we have been doing a lot from NFTs and art shows to selling merchandise off our art truck and even opening our own gallery. What we do is often centered around physical art but one of our main focuses is media and TV which you will see a lot more of in the future!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
A lot of our challenges has come from different people and authority figures in the city trying to regulate or tell us when, and where we can sell art off our truck. However, I find people of Detroit getting more use to us and are becoming more open to us doing our thing.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Our work is inspired by Detroit very much as well as urban culture in general. Our art is very colorful and full of laughs, meaning, dope styles, and even some raunchiness but we always have something for everyone to enjoy!
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I truly believe success is based off what’s makes us happy and brings the majority satisfaction in our lives. I believe we’re already successful because we do what we want majority of the time, and able to create our own visions.
