Today we’d like to introduce you to Elena Breiter.
Hi Elena, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I used to be a teacher and then started my professional cleaning and organizing business for the flexibility when my son was young. I enjoy helping people deal with their overwhelm with clutter and cleaning. I love that I now get to incorporate my teaching into my work as a virtual coach! I also coach others like myself who are just starting out with their own cleaning business.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I never went to business school or imagined that I would be a business owner. It has often been daunting when realizing how much I need to learn and constantly find solutions for various problems. There continue to be countless ways to grow as an entrepreneur. However, I have always enjoyed learning new skills and finding creative outlets for my ideas. Whenever I struggle with something, it’s an opportunity to find a new mentor and resources to help me power through. I attribute my success as an entrepreneur to being okay with uncertainty and making mistakes.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I believe every home and every family is unique. I provide a customized approach to helping people simplify their home and their routines. I am known for my non-judgmental style of communicating and serving.
In addition to the in-person services I offer, I am passionate about teaching and helping others with my digital courses and virtual coaching. I help people who are overwhelmed with chores and clutter. I also support other sole proprietors with their accounting, marketing, and many other aspects of business ownership.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
I loved learning about history. In 2nd grade, my teacher took us for a field trip to the historic one-room schoolhouse in Henry Ford’s Greenfield Village. We got dressed up and pretended to travel back in time. That field trip was one of the reasons I decided that I wanted to become a teacher.
