Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Coming from an entrepreneurial family, I’ve always aspired to own my own digital marketing company. But I didn’t want to just be a business owner, I had big dreams to truly help businesses grow and compete at a bigger level. Because every business is different, we decided right away that our solutions and packages were always customized to the needs, goals, and budgets of our clients. We also worked month-to-month to give our clients freedom and peace of mind with their commitment. We wanted to earn their business every month and we believe because of that, our clients trusted us even more. 

IMPACT Digital Marketing started in 2014 and has started with a few small local clients, helping them with their websites, SEO, email marketing, etc. Then very quickly grew our client base through referrals and digital marketing tactics. 

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Growing a business is never a smooth road and IMPACT certainly isn’t exempt from that. There are always going to be twists, turns, detours, and bumps along the way – I’ve learned to expect and embrace them. But that’s what makes our business so strong and agile today… stronger as a team, but also for our clients. 

For example, through the initial stages of the COVID pandemic, we’ve had to find creative ways to help our clients have new revenue streams and general leads, even with their doors physically shut. Being a month-to-month service company, we had to be agile and be able to work quickly and adapt on the fly. 

As our company grew, our team also had growing pains, going through seasons of getting our hands dirty through the nights and struggling through seasons of finding the right people. We’ve learned that culture and expecting excellence are the norm. Our clients hired and trust us to grow their business and we would be doing them an injustice by not delivering in the best way we could.

Michigan is a truly amazing state. There are so many things that makes it unique, aside from its natural beauty, the wonderful seasons, and the warm Midwest welcoming. What we love most of all about Michigan business owners is their burning desire to succeed, do what it takes to make things happen, make a difference in their community, and leave a legacy for their families. It’s inspiring and refreshing! Although we serve clients all across the United States, Michigan is really where we can make the biggest impact because the majority of our team (12) grew up here – we know the land, we know the people, and we love where we’re at! 

If we had to say anything we didn’t like about the area we’re in, is that we wish others outside the country would give Detroit a chance. Outsiders sometimes avoid it, but really there are so many great things about it, and they could taste and see, they would see the great potential it has and how wonderful it truly is.
