Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevin James.
Hi Kevin, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Starting doing music around the age of 11-12, but stopped after high school. Picked it back up after I came home from college. Spent a couple months as an intern at a studio in Atlanta realized I could be doing more for myself. So, I started up a record label called “Beautiful Sinners Entertainment” (Now known as Beautiful Sinners Empire).
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Every day is a struggling when you’re doing everything on your own. Have to make sure every move make senses & benefit not only me but the people on my label. There’s always going to be self-doubt, but if you can make it pass the noise you can achieve anything you put your mind to. Just have to keep going.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a recording artist that goes by the name “Neagas” & also the owner of “Beautiful Sinners Empire”. I making songs while also trying to push not only my music but others on my label. I am most proud of myself for keep doing what most people afraid to do & that’s believe in myself & my dream. What sets me apart from most is my drive to keep going no matter what. I had plenty of times where I could’ve stop doing music, but I knew this is the only way to get me to the life I deserve.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Mainly, just trust in yourself, but don’t be afraid to reach out to your favorite people. Social media is an amazing place to meet & create new bonds take advantage of it. You never know they just might respond back.
